Well, I've finally decided to run my own rpg thread... so here's the information:

-Setting is morrowind, with a few of my own additions. Can't tell you much more than that without ruining the plot.

-Rules (the fun part!)

1) No controling other characters or npcs. Exception is for actions that are so obvious that there's no question what the response would be. Example, if you want to order a meal, you don't have to wait for me to have the npc agree to serve you before you post that you've got your food. And your lvl 150 character can kill a rat without me aproving it. But if there's any significant choice or chance of failure involved, don't do it.

2) Skills/attacks are done with my own system, d&d like, but made to fit morrowind. Attacks/magic/skills are resolved by rolling dice vs. the difficulty of the task. And you'll get a bonus from more investment in skills, done similar to how thanateros is doing it. But all these stats are going to be done by me, so you don't need to worry about it.

3) PM/AIM are your friends. Depending on how things go, I may PM people secret information, and your actions will go a lot faster if you can contact me on aim and do a whole sequence at once. If you want to say something to one person only, include in your post "Alenee whispers something to the guard" then PM me and the other person (if any) what you actually say.

4) No overpowered items/characters. In your signup post, include a complete (well, anything over 50 gold or so) list of your equipment, character stats, etc.

5) Keep off topic/out of character posts to a minimum.

6) This, if all goes well, is going to be a long story. Keep that in mind when you're signing up.

7) Anything legitimate (as in possible to do) action is allowed. But your actions will have consequences. Sure, you can murder the other players and take their stuff, but you'll find a price on your head and a quick death of your own. And that player who you annoyed just might stick a knife in your back.

Well, that's about all for now... post your character information and I'll get this started as soon as I get a decent size group together.

Character: Reylas / Meylas Feyleaf (Multiple personalities)

Race: Wood Elf

Appearance: Blue eyes (Reylas) / Black Eyes (Meylas). Black hair running down his neck in a short ponytail, ornate patterns of lines drawn on his face.

Biography: Orphaned at birth, Reylas was taken in for the first few years of his life by a human woodsman. At five, the two were attacked by a band of brigands. Slaying the woodsman, they took Reylas with them for entertainment. The mage of the group, to provide amusement, experimented with magicks upon Reylas, from changing his eye color to forcing him to imitate woodland creatures. The end result was a fragmentation of his mind. Meylas, Reylas's "brother" was spawned from this fragmentation. This alternate personality developed over a course of his next 15 years of life, until it completely grasped control for an extended period of time. Meylas slew the entire band of brigands, excepting the mage, who was left for the carrion, eyes dug out, tongue cut out, and bound. Whenever Meylas boils to the surface, his eye color changes from an azure blue to a midnight black, remnants of his early magical experimentation. He (Reylas) is very quiet, and very unwilling to share his history with others (for obvious reasons). At first impression, his insanity is well hidden, but as his references to his brother become more common, and his name changes from day to day, it is plain for all to see. Born with a hunter's physique, he is almost supernaturally speedy and agile.

While Reylas is controlled and calm, almost eerilly so, Meylas is a ball of barely contained anger and rage. Although either can kill a man with no remorse, Reylas's fights are with purpose, while Meylas can start at the slightest provocation.

Back story:-

Kyrykki was brought up on Skyrim the only child of a beautiful Nord woman whose father had died before he was born. Although as a Nord he trained and became skilled with a long blade, he upset the other Nords by his total inability to respond to any alcoholic beverage. As they all reeled about losing clothes to witches, he drank just as much but remained sober enough to study their magic. He was eventually forced to flee Skyrim after pulverising an uncle who tried to behave like that Curious chap in Vivec. Just before the uncle died, swallowing his own blood, he made a deathbed confession. He had killed Kyrykki's father because he was not a Nord. Sadly Kyrykki's mother had passed away when he was fifteen and no one was left to tell him who his father was. The only clue Kyrykki has is that not only is he immune to frost but he is also immune to fire. Perhaps a legacy of a great mage.

Kyrykki is a great believer in helping others and doing good but in rather a 'Robin Hood' kind of way. He certainly isn't averse to stealing from the rich and pompous. He can also be quite personable, when he chooses to be. But such an attitude is used to conceal his basic uncertainty over who and what he is. Now at the age of twenty two he has decided to become an adventurer in the hope he may learn something of his past and, if not, at least be so busy he doesn't have time to brood on it.

I’ll be playing Corithalion (if you'll have me)

Race: Breton

Level: 12

Class: Wandering Mage (A self defined class - Magic - Strength/Intelligence - Major Skills - Minor Skills

Illusion 71 Longblade 87

Destruction 75 Medium Armor 48

Restoration 53 Athletics 52

Mysticism 52 Blunt Weapon 25

Alteration 49 Heavy Armor 35

Other Stats

STR 86 SPD 51 HEALTH 130

INT 91 END 75 MAGIKA 273

WIL 50 PER 41

AG 51 LUCK 50

Born under the sign of the Apprentice

The most powerful item he has is a Robe he had made that heals 1-9 / second constant effect.

Base Weapons - Longsword/katana (actually goldbrand, but if you don't want singular famous weapons, he also uses a glass stormsword.

Uses a Hammer of Wounding (the one you can by for 650 in Caldera)

Base Armor - Japanese style (If you are allowing the Japanese house), Orcish if not.

Favorite spell - 90% chameleon created with spellmaker's help. Doesn't do it well yet, but....

Corithalion is actually half Breton/ half Imperial. His mother was a Breton who married an Imperial guard.

Corithalion’s father is a guard, his four brothers are guards, his uncles were guards, his cousins were guards, well, you get the picture. All of them had the same build, facial structure, etc. Corithalion is the only male in his father’s extended family who does not carry the “family traits”, and, for this, his father shuns him. As much as his father wanted him to be a guard, he didn’t want to, and this led to a number of silly arguments between them. The final straw occurred when Corithalion showed aptitude in magic, a trait that ran strong in his mother’s family. Exasperated, his father brought some false charges against him and had him imprisoned. When the Emperor had him released and sent to Vvardenfell, he looked at it as a godsend – finally he would be able to escape his father.

Fortunately, he got some of the good qualities from both races when it came to his manner. He is stalwart and brave like the Imperials, yet creative and quiet like the Bretons. Physically, the Bretonic side has won out, and he favors his mother’s features.

The youngest of 6, the only sister he had was taken from him when he was young. Even with all of the guards in the family, no one has ever been able to determine what happened to here leave alone who took her. One of his great hopes is to find her some day. There were unsubstantiated rumors that she was taken somewhere by ship, so Vvardenfell was as good a place as any to look.

When he was young, his mother taught him music. This led to even more fights with his father and siblings, as they considered the practice a waste of time. As such, he takes great happiness out of remembering his mother by playing music and writing, as these are the things that he and she particularly shared.

He’s heard of an ebony cuirass that he is actively looking for, and he is still learning to relish his independence – so he sometimes gets into trouble that he really shouldn’t.
