davidxcore
So after finishing my first playthrough i decided to make SOMETHING in geck.Quick questions on the site and a few googles later i start to make a custom face =D.... So, there i am making a custom face for my next playthrough when BAM, i hit a crash.....i say no problem and do it again...after a few minutes GECK crashes again....ok, it's cool i say to myself. I try again, edit the values then BAM! ANOTHER f***ing CRASH!... Does GECK crash this many times? (note: i kept trying to finish my face but after 5 more crashes i gave up) Or is it just me? MistahFixIt
I think some features are just plain broken with the GECK. Like there's a feature to determine if an area you've added light emitters to is being over-lit, and trying to use that crashes my GECK every single time. It's a shame, really. Lingwei
Maybe consider trying to do something other than make a custom face and see if you have the same problem...you know, just sayin'.
davidxcore
Well, it's baby steps damnit =P. if something as simple as making a face crashes the editor...then yeah.
fronzelneekburm
ESPECIALLY the face editor is vulnerable to crashes. Only tip here - save early, save often. Try to avoid using the preview feature with too many facial options. For example if you try to add a beard to a woman it crashes. Some impossible combinations like enclave helmet and glasses might also crash it, so be cautious about randomly playing with inventory or facial options when you are curretly doing serious mod work and didnt save for a while. After some time you get a feeling for when its more likely to crash and you save more often. "PROS" save after every important step to minimize the amount of wasted time in case of a crash. You will not be 100% able to dodge all crashes but you get a feeling what to do to avoid them.
