romeoalpha42
ya know, i may regret it later but i thought it was a wise choice to sell my umbra sword, boots of blinding speed, dragonbone cuirass to the museum of artifacts in mournhold (tribunal exp) but then im thinking what if you didnt have tribunal, you just keep em and use them?. but i wanna know to you expansion users, can you get a copy of the "famed artifacts of tamriel" or get some reputation or praise from donating enough? or was that all a waste and should i steal them back and run like heck? i also got the lord's mail for the knight of imperial dragon in ebonheart, but what now i have to kill him to donate? cuz i dont want bad standing with legion, and i cant not give it to him, especially cuz its too late. so im in a predicament. im heading out to get Chrysamere.. and do i keep it and sell it, or use it, or complete the orders? what to do... thanateros
Personally, I just prefer to keep a nice collection of artifacts for myself in my own little home. In pretty much any house mod there is certainly room for you to store and display your items, which to me makes more sense than giving them up to some musuem. Unless you really need the money. Malchik
If I understand your comments correctly - you have sold the Lord's Mail to Mournhold Museum and want to know if you can finish the Imperial Legion quest. Is that it? Anything you sell to the museum you have to steal to get it back. I've never done it so I don't know what side effects there are. In another posting to one of my questions, MarxistBastard implied there were repercussions but not what they were. If you don't want to cheat, I don't think you will be able to complete the Imperial Legion quests without the Lord's Mail (others may know differently). As mentioned by wesaynothin, you'll get both items back.
Switch
If you steal from Mournhold Museum, you get the price of that item on your head as a bounty (like you would any other) and thus you receive an INSTANT death warrant. Even if you manage to make it past the millions of guards wanting to tear you to pieces and into the thieves guild HQ, you're still going to have to pay a hefty price to get your bounty removed. Also, yes you do need to give him the Lord's Mail and Chrysamere. But don't worry, you will get them back in a later quest. Personally I don't think it's worth forking items over to Mournhold Museum. I'd rather display them somewhere where I can take them back if I want to. :P
Daemarian
Getting Chryasmere and Lord's Mail back can be a pain though. I had to use the Amulet of Shadows the first time because he could drop me in two hits...of course that could have been because I was being stupid and wearing heavy imperial armor with a character designed around wearing Medium. Is there a better heavy cuirass than Lord's Mail in original Morrowind?
Marxist ßastard
Nope, the only cuirass better than that is the Ebony Mail.
romeoalpha42
heh, i stole it back. only cheat i've used was to just make it back the way it was. if you think about it, i only cheated to gain the money from the arifacts. but ya if you thinking about it, dont donate. cuz ive looked at all the normal armors and they dont even go near the armor rating the dragon bone cuirass and eliedons shield do. not to mention now i got the mask of clavacious vile and snow bear armor from bloodmoon so im decked out in enchant. but i heard someone say they re-enchanted the boots of blinding speed.. is that possible or is it just a TESCS way of doing it? plus i dont do mods, they take too long to download and they arent technically in the game, cheating seems more legitimate then that. and if you have tribunal the good sized Velas manor is easy to obtain. and i stored alot of good stuff in Drarayne Thelas' Storage in Balmora thanks to the o too easy fighters guild quest. so until that place is packed so much i cant move or see, its money baby.. There's a big difference between a new sword model or a few more side quests and cheating to give yourself god mode, all items, etc.
