At0micWombat
Hi, I am currently taking an Engineering Design and Development class at my high school and my team and I must gather data concerning the problem of computers overheating from internal dust buildup. I would greatly appreciate it if all who read this would take the brief survey at the link below. Thank you! http://goo.gl/forms/XnXDOSRGh2
Vagrant0
To comment on this, newer , usually higher end computer cases already have dust filters on them in front of air intakes since even those who liquid cool need fans for the cooling block. These are usually much easier to clean than opening up the whole computer and blowing it out every year or so.
Aurielius
I clean once a quarter..a complete meticulous white glove clean. I detach all four fans and the video card as SOP for better access. Q-tips and canned air. Survey taken.
Ironman5000
I just use one of my small artist paint brushes to clean my big fan, dunno how to get to the horrible clogged one at the bottom/back of the desktop without destroying the computer :/ ...but i'm very dumb when it comes to hardware. Still my cpu has lasted a few good years without any problems whatsoever  Link me a non scary tutorial how to clean it actually :P Edited March 7, 2015 by Ironman5000
HeyYou
I just take it outside, and grab the hose off the air compressor. Dial it down to about 40PSI or so, and blow all the dust and such out of my machine. I live in an old farm house, so, it's something that needs to happen fairly often. Survey complete.
