Craigsters Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 I removed the files with extensions Bethesda File Archive, esm and NAM from my game to do with Mercenary Pack ,Tribal Pack , Caravan Pack and Classic Pack sense I never use the weapons, or clothes or canteen from them, there where 12 files in all to do with all four packs that I removed!.. I also removed them hoping to easy load time and potential ctd's Is this the best method to totally disable the pack add-ons? thx  Craig screen shot of files I removedhttp://img403.imageshack.us/img403/3469/filesremoved.jpg
Yukichigai Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 That's sort of overkill, and may actually cause more issues with crashing. It would be far more simple to click the "Data Files" option in the launcher and uncheck all of those files instead, leaving only the main FalloutNV.esm file checked.

luthienanarion Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 The most recent update for NV mucked up the plugin system somehow, and the game loads ALL files regardless of their status in the Data Files menu. The pre-order DLC get replaced constantly by Steam unless you put it into "offline mode." If you want to disable mods, either move them to another folder or create FOMODs to use with FOMM.
