I have a soft spot for Mole-Rats also, heck Malcolm The Molerat is practically a household name and Snuffles from Sloan is awesome. Someone told me there was a Snuffles companion mod and I tried it out and every time I would fast travel some place he would run off back to Sloan as though I fired him. There just isn't enough Mole-Rat companions or pets out there. :(

Yeah, I'd like that too, they'r so damn ugly, you can't help but feel sorry for them. If I get time I'll start putting one together, it's not like it will require top notch voice work. Lets throw some ideas around. Best to start with Snuffles or a new mole rat?

I've only seen 2 talking Mole Rats in the entire fallout game series and they were both in fallout: 2. Still any old Mole Rat sounds would work I imagine. I've seen dog mods with canine armor for the dogs but it would be kind of cool to have some kind of flak vest or armor for the Mole Rat companion/pet.

Ooops didn't mean to imply a speaking molerat by my comment (" it's not like it will require top notch voice work.") just that we don't need any real voicework, simply asthmatic wheezes and such. Were you thinking a talking one?

We might be able to have armor or some sort of attire, it's hard to say until I'v tried or unless we have some models from modders resources. But we can definitely rig up at least the saddle blanket, or caravan packs you see on brahmin, along with any statics or inventory items we'd like to add (canteen?) to give the little guy a look.

Didn't Brain love cheesy puffs? That could be the way our mole rats heart.

Just a random though/brainstorm; If we're going completely crazy, I could probably rig the robodog brain/dome to his noggin and have a mad scientist adventure/quest for the little guy. Some crazy hermit in the wastes experimenting without any compunctions, and a lab full of weirdness (or maybe in OWB).

two more random thoughts; 1. it could also be an albino mole rat. 2. I wonder if the digging animation could be used in teh same way as lonesome roads tunnelers, for the little critter to disappear into a burrow (if your located in an external cell like the wasteland)? Although I don't think there is any animation for *emerging* from a hole for the mole rats.

Holy cow that Mole Rat in the spoiler picture is massive, he must have been eating his Wheaties to get that big. I was just reminiscing about the talking Mole Rats from Fallout: 2 I think he should sound just like Snuffles with no voice acting. A saddle blanket or caravan packs would be great if he is essential and can only be made unconscious. I'm not sure about tunnelers I only just bought the Lonesome Road DLC from Steam and will be playing it within a day or two since I'm on Honest Hearts right now.

Yeah  I have to admit I'm pretty enamored by the pic. I think It would make a great mount or enemy. There was this wiki entry somewhere about beastmen that had a sort of limited psi power, a sort of empathy with beasts. I think it was from tactics, but I'm having trouble finding it. Anyway they would be a good match for a massive mutant like this.

Sure, shouldn't be a problem.

OK I don't want to spoil it for you, so I won't go into it, in depth at this point. The essentials are that they just burrow and pop up somewhere else near by.
