smokyfrogg
Hey, so I recently reinstalled with a bunch of texture enhancements and MGEXE, and everything past the in-game max draw distance looks really bad. One thing to note is that textures in the distantland\statics directory are significantly smaller than the ones in my data files. Around 5-6 times smaller filesizes for most. Copying over the larger textures doesn't help, unfortunately. I've tried regenerating distant land with different settings at least 20 times at this point and have tweaked distant land rendering to every possible permutation it seems with no luck. Any help? You can *kinda* see in this pic, but it's a lot more prominent in game with movement. http://i.imgur.com/hOceixP.jpg Edited March 16, 2015 by smokyfrogg
Oubliette
Might be better off posting in the MGXE thread over at the official (bethesda's) modding forums for Morrowind.
Dragon32
AFAIK the textures used for distant statics are smaller than their originals as the distant statics are only rendered when they're... um... distant and so smaller. Sounds somewhat similar to this guy over on Bethsoft.
smokyfrogg
Looks like it. On second look, the textures/meshes are definitely alright. It seems like an issue with clamping the brightness on distant land. Tried swapping out the dll's and reinstalling DirectX9.0c, but nothing. Oh well.
