GooeyGungan
Hey, everyone. I recently began having unexplained crashes irritatingly often, and there's a one (or maybe two) pixel blue border along the left side and the top of the game. These crashes almost always happen outside, and I have no idea what causes them. I feel like they happen around water, but that could be total coincidence. Hickory
Mod Troubleshooting is where this belongs -- you are experiencing issues related to installed mods. You have a lot of memory and cpu hungry mods there, so the first thing to do is turn off automatic saving on fast travel, sleep etc. You make no mention of your system specs, particularly graphics card -- if your graphics card can't cope with the strain of all of those mods, you are going to experience these kinds of issues. Try not to play for extended periods with such a heavily modded game. Quit to the desktop occasionally, and restart the game. Turn down some graphics, especially things like shadows and specular distance. Don't have AA and Anisotropic filtering set too high in your GC control panel. GooeyGungan
Alright. I'll try some of those suggestions. I'm running Streamline, so will it turn down any of those settings? Sorry for not posting my specs. They are:Intel Core i7 920ATI Raedon 57806GB G.Skill RAMASUS P6T
Hickory
Streamline will not affect your GC control panel setting at all -- those are totally independent of the game. Whether it alters shadow, specular distance etc. I cannot say, since I don't use it. Do not rely on it doing so, though -- set them low manually. GooeyGungan
I'll try setting some of those settings lower then and see if that helps. I've also started noticing a lot of missing meshes lately. Could these two problems be related?

Could these two problems be related? Missing meshes can be a result of bad load order, incorrect installations etc. It's not unheard of for corrupt, rather than missing, meshes to cause crashes. Do you use BOSS and Wrye Bash?
GooeyGungan
Yes, I do use both Wrye Bash and BOSS. Is there something special I should be doing with them? Also, as far as I can tell, the missing meshes are all weapons.
Hickory
I don't know what you mean by "something special". What you should be doing is setting Wrye Bash to automatically detect BOSS suggestions -- make sure that your BOSS list is up to date -- and when you rebuild your Bashed Patch, go through each and every option to check off any of your mods that are installed, and uncheck any that remain and are NOT installed. These sections should ALWAYS be checked:Merge PatchesImport xxxxxCobl Catalogs (ONLY if running Cobl)Contents CheckerLeveled ListsRace RecordsSEWorld Tests (ONLY if running Shivering Isles) Remember to ALWAYS run BOSS after installing, removing or editing mods, and then rebuild your Bashed Patch, in that order. If your missing meshes are only weapons, it sounds like the mods are not installed correctly.
charlottenoyen
Also, as far as I can tell, the missing meshes are all weapons. I had the exact same problem recently and I see you're using Francesco's. I don't think this will affect the crashes, but could you check if you have a .bsa file called "FraNewItems" in your data folder? If not, that will explain the missing meshes. You need the .bsa file and for some reason it's not included in the multi-language mod here on Nexus. See the last post in this thread for a full explanation and download links. Like I said, it won't affect the crashes, but maybe that'll be one less problem to worry about. EDIT: speaking of having the exact same problem, I also have that blue border, but it changes to yellow once I enter the Shivering Isles. Annoying or not, that pretty neat :) Edited November 27, 2010 by charlottenoyen

Does so does "Import xxxxx" mean that all the "Import [something]" options should be checked? Are there any that should not be?
