wizardmirth
I was wondering if there could be a place for good modders who do not get uber-hyper downloads and endorsements due to the usual over-sensation of ultra-cool armor, skimpy clothes, or sex-related themes (or empiric system changes too). Don't get me wrong. Most of these people deserve their recognition for putting in actual hard work (sometimes months or more), and I download and endorse many of these high-download mods myself. But for the people who do not know that "Joe Shmoe" actually put out a cool little mod (or more), it would be nice to have a forum or some other type of recognition for them. I have two companion + player home mods you can try. One is romantic and the other is not. The romantic one gives you the choice to play it "clean" though I guess you have to enable adult mods in order to see it in the first place (it's not really an adult mod, just starts her off with some see-thru clothes). Well, I didn't claim I was the best at this, did I? The second one (IC Ranch) has much more going as far as quests, dungeon-delving, and companions who all ride horses. Actually I'm surprised IC Ranch did not get more endorsements and the romantic one did. I put a hell of a lot more work into IC Ranch and as far as I know it's perfect expect for one minor disclaimer you will see in the nexus readme description. Anyway, if my "quest" sig is still active just click that to see them, otherwise just click on my profile. The other mod I mention is the Zefaro Cottage mod. And, majikmonkee, if you like poems that make you find stuff, try Black Horse Mail Box. I'm also looking for other modders to contribute to this one. Nealus
Personally I absolutely love Spirits and Ephemerals and Mimics! mods.Try also DB Assassins. See my mods - I spent a lot of time making the last one (why only apple). I'm proud of it.It's interesting, but nobody seem to need tactical bombs and nobody is interested to look for them carefully in dungeons. majikmonkee
Lost Spires was fun, had some new weapons and unique looking dungeons that were worth seeing. It's very similar to progressing through the mages or fighters guilds. I enjoyed it. Beware though...there are a few laughable bits of voice acting where I couldn't tell if they were supposed to be funny on purpose or not. One of the guild members sounds like a drunken Trannsylvanian. Lots of fun though.
roboman43
lol oh yeah the indian guy XD yeah, i love the lost spires, game always crashes when im like half way through a quest though and then i lose track and have to restart >.> also, i do have the IC ranch mod :) its very neat :P and i also have that spirit mod, ill have to check out the mimics and DB assassins though. Again, if someone could help me with my oblivion crashing (now sometimes it just closes without an error report) that would be great, i crash sometimes while wandering around, going through doors, casting a spell (like a midas one) and sometimes when im fighting and its a new animation
Deleted1217574User
I often would have the same problems. More often than not, it's just a load issue. What I recommend is this: If it's due to wandering, find where it is that makes your game CTD. If it's a mod, it generally won't be a random spot, but always the same spot. Save right on the boundary of the corrupted area. Starting at the top of your mod list, disable a few mods at a time, load up your game, and go into the dead zone. Eventually, you should be able to traverse the area free of CTD's. Then, go back, and one by one, REactivate your most recent set of mods until the game starts crashing again. When you've identified the culprit, you can attempt to change it in your load order, or as I sometimes do, just disable it altogether. Good luck! roboman43
It's nowhere in specific, it's just my oblivion doesn't want me to play xD
TheSwedishPancake
Roboman, try this mod. It's a crash prevention system that should help you with your problem; it certainly helped me.
Ithildin
It isn't entirely unknown, but one mod my sons and I have enjoyed - both for its quest line and player home - is Belda Elysium Manor House by AVStoryteller. There's a compatibility patch for Belda Elysium - Rolling Hills here, if you also use Unique Landscapes. Without revealing too much, you essentially end up with multiple "companions", and the quest line appears to be ongoing.
