Peregrine
Taking the rope "what he doesn't know can't hurt him," she thinks, she looks around a bit more for a torch or some other kind of light, then heads back to the hole.
Emry
Linden looks at the guards and laughs. "No friends, I don't gamble with coins, only with this (she pats her mace). " She gets up and stretches. "You two continue to play. My leg is twinging and I need to stretch it out a bit with a walk." Linden walks around the clearing (area?, dig site?) humming to herself. When she has some privacy from the guards (but still in sight) she begins her evening prayer routine to Poeved.
Kethruch
Alenee and Linden A torch is not hard for Alenee to find, and she is quickly off to the site. When she arrives, she sees Linden just finishing up her prayers, and the guards are playing cards not far from the hole. The night still has gone without further incident. The cool night air is giving hints that there may be a change coming soon.
Malchik
OOC> I did reply yesterday but I couldn't get it to post. Trying again. To Tiemmo the amulet appears to be of little commercial value and he hands it to Melisande. "They have weapons that you might like otherwise nothing. As for joining you I have no idea what you are doing. If you are going to make a report to someone I will come to. He may reward me for having helped and I need to get some food." Melisande
Melisande takes the amulet from Tiemmo and examines it carefully. How well is it made? What is it made of? "Here, friend." She says to Tiemmo as she reaches into her pack. "I have some food that you are welcome to." She pulls out some trail rations and a flask of cider. "Here. Please take what you want." She goes back to the amulet.
Kethruch
Melisande The amulet turns out to be ceramic with a steel base, nothing special as far as value goes, but it is well made. As you are examining it, you trip a catch, and the amulet opens, revealing a small compartment with a neatly folded small piece of parchment within it. (OOC - Tiemmo - unless you're making assumptions about the worth of the items, please leave the setting of the value to me. You have an appraisal skill that you can try to use either by PMing me or by putting it in the thread to try to determine value)
Melisande
"Hey, look at this" Melisande says, picking up the piece of paper and unfolding it. "Maybe it's a clue?" She looks at the paper, hoping that it's in a language she can read.
Kethruch
Melisande, Tiemmo, and Helstar The writing on the paper is in common, and all of you can read it. It says Felecor, This is in recognition of the great accomplishments you have completed for both your god and me. Know that I love you as a son, and there is nothing you cannot do. Wear this proudly, and know that I am with you. If you ever have trouble, come to me where Melias will rest and I will help you. There is no signature, and there is nothing else in the compartment
Melisande
"I don't know if this is a clue or simply a gift." Melisande says, shrugging. "It would have helped if he had signed it." She looks at the others. "Well, what now? Do we go and collect our money for the fight we just had, or do we go on and figure out why Felecor and his friend were here?" wesaynothin
"I think we go back to our employer and ask him about all this, because he probably knows more than we do." Helstar says. He picks up a body, and starts carrying it to the mess tent. "Maybe he will recognize the face..." Helstar tells the group as an explanation.
