It's my favorite of the ones I've played so far, so sue me. =P I do have a quick question for anyone else who's played it as well. Has anyone who's played the game chosen to help Dublin find the heart so he can use it? I chose to destroy it, so I know that outcome already. Does Kat die if you choose to help Dublin when at the Two Sisters Lodge? What becomes of the Kat and Dublin if you don't show favoritism toward either of them and finish the game with Wintermoon as your companion? My only complaint about this mod is that you're forced to make a choice between your two companions early on, and your decision basically srews the one you don't choose to help. I wish there had been some sort of a middle road, but it is what it is. I plan to play through the mod again, but not necessarily change my original path, that's why I'm curious what the outcomes are. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Naktis Posted November 29, 2010 Share Posted November 29, 2010 (edited) If you choose to help Dublin you'll find Kat lying dead in a dungeon and if you choose Wintermoon you'll have to be mean to Kat or Dublin or reject them, when rejected they will leave you. I was sufficiently bummed to find Dublin dead in the game I played through, destroying the heart seemed like thr right move but I didn't want him dead, I rather liked him. I liked Wintermoon but she seemed a little too distant and judgemental for me to want her as a companion after the story was over. Is Dublin sacrificed to open the portal into the dead world instead of Kat if he's your companion you choose to help? I figured that was the case, I know in the Kat version she is his daughter, I didn't know if that was an important part of his victim selection or not. Thanks for answering my questions. Frankly, i'd have preferred never hearing from the partner you choose not to help after Skingrad vs having them turn up dead with no explanation. That always bums me out. When I played the old (silent) version about a year ago, I was repeatedly caught by a bug at the very end. Just as Kat or Wintermoon became my companion (I played it twice), she lost all intelligence and just kept coming up to me saying "yes? yes?" She would not follow or do anything else. I am hoping that the new (voiced) version has removed this bug (if it is one) or that my new selection of other mods has perhaps removed whatever conflict might have been causing this problem.
