tatts24
@Alonsomartinez,,, As uberman said, the knife is flat enough that you can create a simple uv map by just projecting from view. However, I noticed that your blender version is 2.49b. Correct me if I am wrong but I think the Nif scripts are only supported up to 2.47. Were you planning on exporting to .obj and using nif scope to convert? Anyway to uv map in Blender I would suggest looking up some Youtube video's on marking seams and learning how to actually unwrap your geometry, it is far more effective and very simple to do. as far as the lay out for your uv's it is more just trial and error. Anyway I did save the picture and modelled the knife myself, it's uv mapped and game ready. I just did'nt upload it as I do not want to offend anyone. I am just in the middle of learning the process for getting my own objects into the game and just looking for small easy projects to do. http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo161/tatts24/spikeddagger.jpg http://i372.photobucket.com/albums/oo161/tatts24/insheath.jpg

dunmermaiden
Alonso allowed me to have a go at texturing this blade. I've never textured a weapon before to be honest. But his UV maps were so easy to follow, it didn't take me long at all to make textures.I wish every mesh was this easy to texture, I've struck quite a few horrors in my time as a modder. This was no problem at all :) http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll154/Onxe/Nightslasher.jpg http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll154/Onxe/Nightslasher2.jpg http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/ll154/Onxe/Nightslasher3.jpg edited: Made a couple more Edited February 6, 2011 by dunmermaiden

majikmonkee
Looking good, I wouldn't mind seeing a metallic version still too for use with more neutral characters. Looks good though. I prefer where the hand and fingers are on the handle in the more recent pictures vs having them all just in the to handle loop, btw.
