Reviving the Van Graffs?

Hello everyone. I have a problem

 

One of my characters is an evil, laser wielding person, who's siding with the legion. The Van Graffs sounded like my kind of people, so I did all their missions and stuff, right up until the end, where something happened that made me not want to be their friend anymore.

 

In a fit of rage at that mission, I turned on them, smashing the entire van graff family to pieces, and wearing some armour from one of the dead legion guys so they'd leave me alone. Previous to doing this I did try completing the mission anyway in hopes that the silver rush would get some new stock in, but it had none, so I reloaded and did the above.

 

However, playing as another character, I've come to a realisation about shops in this game. That they get new refreshed with new stock periodically, and according to your level. I realise now that by killing the van graffs I've deprived myself of a valuable source of lasers, which is more valuable to me than legion rep.

 

So I want the van graffs back. Or at least gloria, so she can sell me stuff. And hopefully make them forget about murdering them all.

 

I'm using the PC version of course, and I have no objection to using console commands to repair my game.

With a bit of research, I've managed to spawn gloria and make her not hostile, but she has nothing in her sales inventory, and 0 caps. So this isn't optimal.

Any ideas ?

is she still in the shop??

because i have found a way to make a merchant restock his inventory (though i have only successfully tested this on the gun runners' robot)

 

basically, go to the shop, or to the same cell that she is in

make a save (it could be a quick save if you do them)

then go to the main menu, and load your save

 

it is very important to exit to the main menu or exiting the game before reloading, and not just loading from the menu

if you don't at least quit to the main menu, it will not work

just wanted to clarify this

 

now, as i have said, i have only successfully done this with the robot, but i haven't tried this with many merchants (can only remember trying this with the merchant at the Novac T-Rex)

 

anyhow, see if this helps you, though it doubt if it will.......

i'll do some searching, and see if i can find another solution, in case this doesn't work

This I'm not sure about. Canyou link to a specific mod as an example?

Looking for "patch" in the mod db on newvegasnexus isn't turning up anything relevant

Not sure if was corrected in the newest patch, but I know from previous experience the stock didn't reset. I don't have that problem anymore, but I adjusted stock of key vendors to be more reflective of what I'd expect from them having to rely on a three day rotation period.

I've tried all of these now. No luck sadly. The inventory expander gave her some new stuff listed in it's decription, but her original stock doesn't seem to be coming back :(

 

I've tried waiting about a month, fastr travelling all over the place, saving and reloading, but my console-spawned gloria refuses to get new stock in .

 

Any ideas ?

Oh screw it, I reloaded.

 

Luckily for me, I never, ever overwrite saves. And have an archive of 500 or so saves detailing the history of my characters. I picked one from just before the van graffs final mission and sided with them. To hell with the legion, they treat their followers like dirt anyway.

 

I've lost 7 hours of playtime and I'll have to go earn power armour training again. But hey, gloria stocks tesla cannons now!
