simplywayne90
I agree, thats why I'm spending so much time on this, I've probably put in 40 hours on this thread across the net, Anyways Crossfire, did you have any encounter ideas of your own? Also If you haven't yet try looking at some of the new ones I designed, I always need critism since a lot of readers of this post have no idea what the classic encounters were. Don't go too crazy here... BUT! I actually (when I used to have Fo3 installed on my PC) ACTUALLY MADE a special encounters personal mod for myself. It consisted of clothing/armor mods, such as Alice from Resident Evil, and Wolverine, from X-men, and a few others.
simplywayne90
Well more or less I'm working hard because its truely something I want to see, as well set an example for future Fallout games and mods, By that I mean, in New Vegas the developers basically took a ton of popular mod ideas and integrated them in-game, I'm hoping that in future fallouts the method I've developed will allow future fallouts to have special encounters. But the whole scripting thing is driving me a bit crazy. I feel so inept since I can't properly express how exactly the encounter chance calculating script needs to perform to be correct in my opinion. Such as wolverine, storm troopers, darth vader, and alice from resident evil. Those are just the three I remember best from my personal mod. -Just saying that it is very well possible to make a mod like this. It's just more the question of getting clothing/armor/weapon meshes and textures to use with these mods. And the ones that do need new content, well I can always find modders resources and ask other modders for assistance, so even then it wouldn't be too difficult, I say scripting and actually making the correct terrain and cells seperate from the mojave will be the most difficult parts. Also I've it is made I'd work to try and port it to fallout 3 as well.

simplywayne90
Yeah I thought it'd be a good encounter too, I really hope that whoever starts this project, contacts me, as I think we could avoid the copyright on Michaels Music by only using clips, maybe the encounter can be 5 minutes long, 1 mintue per song with a few different dances, if possible we could make the ghoul change outfits for each (like white clothes for smooth criminal, red for thriller, etc.) Of course I'd request a quick texture of a hat to a white color, and the merc charmer could be the thriller jacket. I really can't wait to find someone to make this with me, all I can do is outlines and information, but I need modders and scripters if anyone wants to see this made. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkXQcRlEGog Edited December 9, 2010 by simplywayne90
crossfirex
Well, it's all great to do the older parody's and such, but you should also think about making new ones. You know, the whole personalization thing.
simplywayne90
Well, it's all great to do the older parody's and such, but you should also think about making new ones. You know, the whole personalization thing. I am I came up with the "nanuk and his little tribal" encounters, and the "thriller" encounter, then we discussed a pair of "twilight" parodies. I've been thinking of a hannibal lector parody as well. "Hello....Courier, do you still hear the brahmin when you dream?" (bad example I've got better ones) I was thinking of making fun of the tiger woods getting a beating from his wife, you encounter a woman with a golf club attacking a black man. - Michael Vick getting eaten by wild dogs. - The george bush shoe incident V.A.T s fail joke.- Just about anything to do with Arnold Swarchzenagger.- A ghoul and an old man, the ghoul says they were hunting and the old man shot him in the face. (Dick Cheney Incident)- One on Bill clinton possibly?- Obama Encounter?- There are a ton of ways to make fun of Forrest Gump- Definity need an Avatar parody- A chuck norris joke, since they are so many to choose from- You mentioned star wars earlier so thats a possiblility Heres some good parodies from JibJab to draw inspiration from: Native American - "This land was my land...=[" But now its OUR land! simplywayne90
Alright everyone I've begun to pass out requests and things for areas and to certain modders to include thier work, In the request forum you can look on my posts and see what you may what to contribute, You'll recieve credit for any work you put into this work. Thank you for reading, and hopefully by splitting up the work this could be functional very soon. At the moment I need a scripter to create the scripts I've described "here on this thread". TallGeese your my first choice but I know you've got your own projects to work on. I need a few people to create some basic areas that I've described here. I can always use more ideas for encounters and parodies. I'm also needing one or two well done retextures if anyone would like to try then look here. And Here as well. Any modders willing to submit any resources to this mod would also be appricieated and credited.
