+ Added craftable maps
+ Added hatches
+ Added tall grass in some biomes
+ Mushrooms now spreads (very) slowly
+ Added server property view-distance. Sets the radius of terrain updates (in chunks) to send to the players. Range 3-15, default 10.

* It’s no longer possible to build solid blocks on the top layer of the maps (sorry!)
* Players stuck in walls will slide towards the nearest gap if there is one
* Made booster tracks speedier
* Severely nerfed fire so it spread slower, and doesn’t spread infinitely
* Seeds are now found in tall grass, using a hoe on the ground no longer works
* Blocks destroyed by other players in multiplayer now shows the breaking block particle effect
* Activated dispensers make sounds and trigger particles in multiplayer
* Doors make sound for other players in multiplayer
* The record player now supports more than 15 different songs

* Fixed running out of memory corrupting the current level

Wait so what's happening to axes now that hatchets are being added?

I assumed notch messed up and called the hatchet an axe as it's in one hand...

I'm so confused.

Unless it's just a rename :P

 

It all sounds good in all honesty.

I just hope they have fixed the out of memory bug for all people. Not just a select few. Seriously that thing has affected thousands of players including myself.

 

 

But 1.6 sounds like a worthy successor worthy of breaking servers :)

 

What are we doing about that by the way? Are we backing up the world and chilling out on a normal client while bukkit/plugins are being updated or do we have to hold back on the 1.5 waiting...? :P

Hmm how about for while bukkit is updating we have a map where we just kill each other :P Like do whatever you want sorta map. That sounds fun. Than we'll bring the old map back.

 

Or we dont update our clients and leave the map

Thats a lot of fixes. 3 that jumped out at me though are:

1 - Fixed loads of exploding tnt generating way too many particles, possibly crashing the client

2 - Fixed fires being impossible to put out in multiplayer

3 - Fixed records not playing for other players in multiplayer

My bad haha.

 

Well personally I think we should BACKUP the current world and start on a completely newly generated world so we can experience 1.6 with a raw feeling.

 

Then after everythings been updated.

Bring back the old world :)

 

And no... not kill eachother. I hate pvp. There's a reason why I stopped it in other servers.

It becomes too easy after a time. Get diamond armour, diamond sword, full food and a horde of wolves and you become unbeatable.

Been there, done that :P

 

Also I didn't read "invisible" people being fixed. So yeah... That's another reason I gave up on it. Too easy and then stupid invisible enemies which force you to relog... when chances are there's lava where you were >.>
