Sol'Kanar
Meylas draws Frostbite, and, in a reverse handed grip, thrusts it downward, seeking the guard's heart.
Kethruch
Corithalion, finding nothing after his return to the tracks, finds himself in an enviable position. Sneaking as swiftly as the terrain allows, he appraoches the battle from the rear, stormblade in hand. "Just a few more strides." he thinks to himself, then, when in range, he slashes across the rearmost Imperial's back, aiming for the right shoulder with a downward angle to the left. "Gee," he thinks to himself as the blow goes through. "I hope this isn't one of my relations....."
Peregrine
To Meylas:As you stab downward, the guard raises his sword in a desperate attempt to keep you back. His blade strikes your chest, scraping along your armor, then penetrating as your momentum caries you together. You stab into his heart, piercing first armor then flesh. The guard freezes in shock as the enchantment on your blade triggers. His sword drops from his hand, and you have that needed second to shift your cut and rip his heart open. Blood sprays from his chest, and an expression of disbelief and fear flashes across the guard's face. His voice barely a whisper, he says something too quiet to hear, then collapses to the ground dead. Now free of the immediate threat, you realize the extent of your own injuries. Fortunately for you, the guard missed any vital organs, so you are in no immediate danger of death. Though between the blood loss and the pain, you feel much weaker than normal, and know that much more combat could mean your death. To Corithalion:As you swing, the guard finally notices your presence. His head turns, and his face becomes an expression of absolute horror as his eyes lock onto your sword. He has just enough time to start turning around before your sword hits. The lightning enchantment is almost wasted as your cut sends his head flying from his shoulders, and nearly removes his left arm. The final guard, after overcoming his initial shock, begins walking slowly over to you, sword held agressively. "You're going to PAY for that," he growls at you. "I'm going to enjoy watching you die, coward."
Kethruch
Corithalion goes into a full parry mode - shield up, sword in right hand in a hanging guard position, ready to block. He slowly backs up, hoping that his actions will allow someone else to do to this target just what he had done to the first one. "Good," he thinks to himself as he backs another step. "Come to Papa." Daemarian
sees a chance and takes it. Runs at the last guard with his shield forward to try and stop an attack, as well as to knock his target off balance; his sword back ready to run it through his target once he reaches him. Malchik
Kyrykki throws his bottle of Flin at the wood elf. Whatever he thinks of him out of battle, he will treat him as an ally during it. "Reylas, if you need it, you're welcome." Rushing over to join the others he shouts. "We have the weight of numbers - don't kill him until we can see if he has anything to tell us." He points his daedric katana towards the remaining guard. Kyrykki will use the sword if he has to but with Corithalion and the others now closing on the guard the man might be persuaded to yield. Sol'Kanar
Too weak and too preoccupied to notice the flinn, Reylas lets it drop. Swiftly pulling a labeled potion from his belt, he pulls off the stopper and gulps the entire bottle, feeling its healing energy course through his body, healing the scars of battle. Peregrine
To Reylas:The pain of your injuries fades away, leaving only a slight lingering weakness that suggests it would be a good idea to get some rest very soon. Though the most serious damage has been healed, your body will take some time to fully recover. To Kyrykki:The guard stops his advance for a moment, and looks at you in disbelief. "Fool, I would die before I would betray my master." Dismissing you for now, he turns to meet Saeroth's charge. To Saeroth:Taking advantage of the guard's distraction with the others, you rush at him, shield held ready. Too late, he turns to deal with the new threat, and you reach him before he can get his defense in place. You smash your shield into him, knocking his sword from his hand. Though his armor prevents any real damage, the shock of the impact is enough to stun him briefly. Before he can react, you lower your shield and drive your sword deep into his chest. His armor slows your strike, the only thing that saves him from immediate death. Wounded beyond ability to fight, he collapses to the ground. Lying on his back, he looks up at the sky, and whispers in a tone of almost prayer "Forgive me oh great one, I have failed in my sacred duty...." With new determination, he draws a dagger from his belt, and stabs it deep into his heart. As his life fades from this world, you hear his final words, forced out through the pain and weakness. "He is coming... all hope is lost for you......."
