Kethruch
Corithalion lowers his guard, and comes back to the "guards", chuckling. "My, that was fun." He looks at Reylas. "You okay? Anything I can do?" Then, he turns back to Khar-Tul, looking puzzled. "Is there anything on the bodies that would tie them to the original killings? It seems to me as though these might not be the killers. They seemed more "clumsy" as it were rather than effective killers, unless, of course, we're just that good." He waits for a second, then laughs. "No, I rather doubt that too." "I'm going to go back a little ways along the path these blokes came from. Let's see if they really did come from Suran. Anyone with me? I'll be back in fifteen minutes." Corithalion then begins scouting back the way the "guards" came, using cover whenever possible and keeping an eye on the trail ahead. Switch
"Yeah, I'll come. You'll need some back-up in case more of these people decide to turn up." Elbras follows Corithalion up the path, keeping an eye out for trouble, his hand on Seler.
Sol'Kanar
Reylas replies, "I thank you for your concern, but I'm quite alright, I assure you. As for returning to Suran, I'll be along after we've searched all of the bodies for clues." He wipes his blade clean on the fallen guard's leggings, the only part not bloodied in the fight. Sheathing his weapon, he rifles through any pockets and pouches the guard had, seeking any minor valuables or clues to their origin.

Peregrine
<ooc: lalala, search checks are my job. What you just did completely contradicts what I had in mind. This time I'll call it in character poor searching, but please don't do it agian. If you want to search, post that you do so, and I'll tell you the results.>
Daemarian
to anyone nearby that happens to be listenning "this last one mentioned something about a him coming to get us...who do you suppose this him is? cleans the blood from his blade on a cloth that he had <ooc> did I have to previously mention that I had the cloth? Peregrine
To Saeroth:As you attempt to wipe the blood off your sword, you realize that the cloth you thought you had does not exist. Before you notice this, you have carelessly wiped the edge off with your hand, and now have only one and a half hands. You can now only use one handed weapons. <ooc: no, common items like cloth or a plate do not have to be declared. General rule, if its worth <100 gold, not a weapon or armor, easily obtained in town, and small enough to carry easily along with everything else, then you can assume you have it. I'm not going to say something like "sorry, you didn't declare that you had a bowl for your soup. You're now wearing it all over your clothes, take -100 on all charisma based checks" So yes, the part above was a joke.> To Elbras and Corithalion:You walk off down the road to Suran, but you don't see anything of interest. Any tracks the guards might have made are lost in the accumulated footprints on the road. To Reylas:Despite your companion's belief otherwise, you discover clear evidence that the guards were exactly what they appeared to be. Their armor and weapons are all standard Imperial equipment, seemingly just off the racks at the armory. Each guard carries papers identifying them as low ranking members of the Imperial Legion. The one you assume is the leader carries written orders as well, instructing them to patrol the road near Suran and deal with any trouble encountered. Every bit of this is exactly as would be expected for Imperial guards. You are either dealing with the real thing, or an absolutely amazing fake well beyond anything you have ever seen. Other than the standard equipment, you find a few personal items of no real significance, and about 10 gold on each body.

Switch
Elbras turns to Corithalion. "Well, this is pointless. I don't think we're going to find anything up here..."
Sol'Kanar
Reylas frowns at the apparent normallity of the guards. Addressing those remaining, he says, "Well, it seems our investigation is as complete as it can be.. Lets wait until those two return from trying to follow the guards' tracks, then return to Balmora."
