Peregrine
<ooc: Xionith: wrong idea. You don't just decide to make a long trip like that, especially if it requires my npcs to cooperate with you. And especially if in that single post you go through hours/days of ingame actions at once.> To Xionith: Ebonheart disolves around you, bringing you back to the present. You return to reality standing at the silt strider dock, the operator standing over you continuing to speak as if nothing had happened, and a nasty pain in your head telling you that you've had way too much to drink. "held for a priority transport. You'll have to wait for another one or take the long way, your choice. But I'm not going anywhere now and that's final." With a look of dismissal, he returns to loading the strider's cargo. To Other Characters:Seeing that you have all made your choice, your employer finally begins to answer your questions. "Her name is Alenee B'Elen. Perhaps officer isn't the correct word... she's commander of the Habassan army, but she just won't sit back and lead from a safe place. It'll be a bad day for us all when she finally gets herself killed... well anyway, she's about this" he points to a spot a bit over six feet off the floor, "dark hair, pretty light weight... should be wearing something similar to my clothes. If she's not been captured that is. As for her business, I don't know exactly. Best for security and all. But she'd said it was only a quick trip, she's weeks overdue now. I wish I could help you more, but even more important things demand my attention." He turns to the group looking for the book. "As for you, there's not much I can say. If I had any better idea what you're looking for, I wouldn't have hired you! All I can say is, standard procedure should be to keep records like that in the highest ranking officer's quarters. You'll have to use your own judgement once you're in there. Now, if nobody has any more questions, I believe we all have places to be going. I've held a silt strider for you, and the Mages Guild should be offering transport to Vivec, even if it is a bit early in the morning." He turns back to his work, packing the books and a few other items in a cloth sack. <ooc: despite the fact that some of you have played your characters in other stories with Alenee, you do not know anything about her in this world.>
Kethruch
Corithalion speaks up after the man has finished. "Would there perhaps be an alias Alenee might be traveling under?"
Acoran
"Thank you for that information. I'll be on my way now." Akkli nods farwell to his companions and turns to walk out of the inn. He Heads down the road to the mages guild. There he seeks transport to Vivec. OOC: Maybe I misseds something but isn't this in the morning?...becasue Akkli got ridicualed for saying 'good eveing'.....
Peregrine
<ooc: yes, did I say otherwise somewhere? *looks around in confusion*> To Corithalion:"No, well, at least none that I know of. Even if she was, I wouldn't know... basic security and all that. Sorry." To Akkli:You reach the mages guild without trouble. A bit of gold later and you are standing in Vivec. "Please move on, we've got more coming," the old man handling the transport instructs you. Out in the city, (now conveniently just out the door from where you arrived), it appears to be a typical morning in Vivec. A few people wander the area on everyday business, and a pair of guards patrol the street.
Emry
After hearing of Alenee's description from her employer, Aeden looks to her companions. "I think we have as much information as were going to get. We have a job to do; let's be about it." She heads downstairs and walks to the silt strider port. Malchik
Kyrykki returns to his room to collect his pack. Back down stairs hands coin and key to the barkeep. Nodding to the others says. "To the silt strider then. Khuul - huh? A bit too close to Solstheim for my liking." He follows Aeden out of the tavern.
Switch
Elbras heads up to his room quickly and grabs his pack, pulling it over his shoulders. He locks the door behind him then heads downstairs and hands his key to the barkeep, along with a few coins. He then heads out of the Eight Plates behind Kyrykki. "So, to Khuul? We'll need to take it to Ald'Ruhn first, our Silt Strider doesn't go directly to Khuul..."
Kethruch
"One last question." Corithalion asks. "When we have either her or the information on where she fell, shall we just meet you back here, or is there some other place that might be more convenient for you while you're on your more pressing business?" After the answer, Corithalion grabs his things and prepares to leave with the rest of the group. "Thanks for the hospitality!" He calls cheerfully to the barkeep as he leaves. "Hopefully I'll see you again soon." He then exits the eight plates and heads to the silt-strider.
LALALA
Khar-tul turns to Elbras and says:"It's a danggerous way from Khuul to Ald Velothi.Maybe we should buy few cure disease potions before we go."
Sol'Kanar
IC: Noting the likely location of the logbook, Reylas quickly gathers what belongings he has and leaves the Eight Plates. Brushing by Kyrykki on his way out of the tavern, he bids him goodbye. "May whatever gods you believe in watch over you," Reylas says. Continuing just a short distance down the road, Reylas enters the mage's guild, and waits his turn for magical transportation to Vivec. "From there, just a short trip by sea to Ebonheart," Reylas thinks to himself. Personally, however, Reylas has a few doubts about their chances of success. In his experience, Reylas believes that a successful thieving operation such as this needs a decoy, one skilled in persuasion and charming. Charm and wit can much more easily gain a thief entry than a lockpick and sharp knife. "That Shadow character definitely does not posess such skills, and I've not seen any of the sort from Akkli, either. Just have to improvise, I suppose," Reylas continues contemplate while waiting.
