Kyrykki takes the food and thanks Elbras. " Perhaps you are right about the ruin. It would be a co-incidence. Let'sl start walking into town. Keep a lookout for anything unusual and we'll talk to anyone we find on the way." He sets off towards Ald Velothi carefully examining the landscape as he goes.

Elbras nods to Kyrykki and finishes his crab meat, tying the rope back around the sack and mounting it on his back. He puts a hand on his sheath as they walk along, keeping an eye out for any trouble.

Reylas silently curses the strange fellow, whatever his name was. The distraction had been less than satisfactory, and now the fool had likely gotten himself killed. Ah, well. It couldn't be helped. Now to try to make things right.

OOC: dunno what you mean peregrine, I'm not outside at all. Simply looking out a window of the garrison.. like an arrow slit, but larger. *shrug*

IC: "Thank you, I believe I will. The commander should be informed of this... I think that man was specifically sent after me. His first shot hit near me.

With that, Reylas walks off to the commander's office again.

Xionith, believing that he can do nothing more in this world, that his dream to rain terror on the cult that ruined his was wisped away, pulled out his knife stabbed himself in the heart, and fell over. With the last breath in his body he put the hunting cloak his father had given him, on top of himself, and died.

<ooc: I kinda got forgotten in the story so I figured, it would be better to stay out.>

To Reylas:

Just outside the commander's office, an Imperial guard steps into your path. "Sorry, restricted area right now. Nothing down this way you'd need anyway." Though his tone is a suspicious, it seems to be more from devotion to his duty than any specific hostility towards you.

"A thousand pardons, sir knight. I'm just a bit shaken, and thought the commander might be able to reassure me. You see, when I stepped to the window to take a breath of air, a strange figure shot an arrow in my direction. Fortunately it missed, but I could not see the proceedings. What's going on? Are we under attack?"

Corithalion waits for Aeden, then looks around the hamlet he knew as Ald Velothi. "Strider port, eh?" He says as the set off. "I think we should find out what else is new around here after we go to the tradehouse." With that he turns and purposefully heads to the tall tower that at least used to be the center of interest in the town.

Aeden catches up to Corithalion. "This place has certainly grown since the last time I was here." Looking around she asks, "I think we can start asking questions with the tradesmen when go to buy the potions.....Or should we wait and ask at the tradehouse then evening when liquor has loosened some tongues?"

BTW, while they are ambling about town, Aeden will be (casually) checking out guard patrol routes, seeing if people are watching them (especially at the strider port and at the tradehouse), and if there is anything which seems to be out of the ordinary.
