Peregrine
To Ald Velothi Party:The chill in the air only increases as you walk through the ruins. All is still around you, and the only sounds are your voices and the sound of your footsteps scraping rock against rock. But despite the apparent emptiness of the ruins, something doesn't feel right. Any of you who have been to daedric shrines before feel something different about this one, as if the aura of evil around it is no longer merely the fading traces of ancient events, but something new, and much stronger. To Reylas and Akkli:Thankfully, the rest of your trip passes without incident. Soon you find yourselves standing on the dock in Vivec. Around you, the city appears no different than you left it. Apparently the events in Ebonheart are well behind you for now, and only the relieved conversation of your fellow passengers suggests that any of it even happened. <ooc: 1000th post! And all that in 4 months... I really do have no life....>
Sol'Kanar
Reylas, glad to be done with the task set before him, leaves the docks and approaches the silt strider, handing the driver several drakes and asking for passage to Balmora.
Acoran
As Akkli steppes off the ship he sees one of the others working on the job walking off. He follows. Apon catching up he says cheerly, "Seeing as you've left Ebonheart I assume you found and got it....."
Sol'Kanar
Yes, I have it concealed within my belongings. Not such a difficult task, really, although a pity those two fools went and got themselves killed along the way.
Acoran
"Ah, poor men. Brave and stupid. My aplogize for my lack of assistance but I wasn't in a postion where I could help you, without dieng, which doesn't help. So shall we return to Eight plates?" Malchik
Kyrykki reaches the door and glances back at the others. "Wish me luck!" He operates it gingerly.
Switch
Elbras twitches slightly when Aeden makes the remark about Seler being a tiny rat-sticker. "I resent that! She's a fine sword. But fine. I'll take point if I must..." He waits as Kyrykki attempts to open the door.
Emry
Aeden sighs and shakes her head. "Elbras, Seler is a fine sword.... much finer than the one I carry myself. I meant the comment in jest only. I did not mean to offend." Aeden will do a quick 180 degree scan behind the party to make sure nothing is creeping up behind them. (OOC - BTW, that chill in the air wouldn't be due to a frost atronach roaming near would it, hmmm?....) She'll finally set her sights on the door which Kyrykki is about to open for cover fire. Peregrine
To Ald Velothi Party:The door to the ruins slides open. Kyrykki, you notice that, for an abandoned ruin, the door opens much smoother than you might have expected. Behind the door, stairs extend down and out of sight, all recognizable features disappearing in the darkness. Once again, your presence seems undetected. As the last echoes of the door fade away, only silence remains. The new position of the door is the only detectable difference from before. Aeden, your search reveals no sign of atronachs, frost or otherwise. To Reylas and Akkli:The strider operator accepts your gold, and you are soon on your way to Balmora. A long, but uneventful, trip later, and you find yourselves standing once again at the strider dock in Balmora. By now it is nearing sunset, and all life seems to be drawing into the bars and other entertainment for the night. <ooc: sorry for my slackness in posting. I would say that I had work to do, but not enough of it to be a good excuse>
