muratguler
1. Why can't we wear two same enchanted rings at the same time ? I mean, what is the point ? 2. Where is Derrin ? I need him for "The Abandoned Shop" side quest. I couldn't find his RefID on the internet (not Derrien Venoit at Discount Merchandise in Imperial City). Thanks Edited December 16, 2010 by murat guler

Relativelybest
1. Why can't we wear two same enchanted rings at the same time ? I mean, what is the point ? Same reason the vanilla game doesn't let us wear ten rings at once? (Which I assume to be: "Bethesda thought it would be too awesome.") Incidentally, there is a Multiple Rings mod I always use that fixes this. Very recommended.
Eiries
To be honest, pencil and paper D&D has the same ring restrictions Oblivion does: it's all about avoiding overpowering exploits. Ten rings is easy enchantments: it's 10 cheap 10% chameleon rings, 10 cheap Shield 8 rings, 10 cheap 50 point Feather rings... the list goes on and on. It's an easy exploit that makes the game lose any chance of challenge it may have had.
SandsOfTime404
Yeah, as awesome as it'd be to wear that many rings... that's just the problem. The game starts to become very boring very quickly when you're a walking god.
anathemastudio
Derrin is owner of Discount Merchandise shop in IC Market District, near Elven Gardens gate. He gives you multiple side quests, including that missing merchant quest "The Abandoned Shop". This is from "Better Cities" mod, or "Tales of Twilight/Thievery in the IC" mod, which was incorporated into "Better Cities" if you use the patch. From the Thievery Read Me:"There's a new shop in the Imperial City's market district near the exit to the Elven Gardens: the "Discount Merchandise". Sell some stolen goods and Derrien will offer you to sell you tips about where to find loot. Derien's Quests are in random sequence but dependent on the number of quests you've completed. (As in: "given the quest item to Derrien") If you never bring him the stuff, he asked for, then he won't trust you enough to give you new tips. Each day Derrien will have two quests for you, you need to wait 3 hours after you got one before he gives you another."
