secksegai
I always target Legion members. Doesn't matter how many Latin phrases they spout, they're still a bunch of misogynistic thugs. Yep, there's no way to justify the AI as even adequate. Even the Original Doom seemed to do a better job. Which also would explain why it seems a lot of us tend to gravitate towards the humanoid targets, as we have to derive most of our "pleasure" in eradicating folks we don't like. I always make it a point to take out Caesar before finishing the end quest, even though he wouldn't matter by that point anyway. I did find it surprising how insignificant Caesar himself is by the end of the game. Yeah, talk about disappointment - actually putting the effort into killing him and his guards (not hard with a stealthboy and silenced sniper rifle but still) and it doesn't have a drastic change... I wouldn't expect it to completely end the war, but you'd think it have a bit more impact.....

In Fallout 2, I even felt bad about killing small Geckos since I thought they looked so cuddly and cute. ^^ But as mentioned the poor AI in FO3/F:NV makes long range sniping as gratifying as shooting trees or something.. Beth/Obsidian should at the very least make the NPCs seek cover when they see their fellow squad mates heads explode. :P

They are getting there though. There is a mod where people react if you aim at them.
Blewvane
I have a hatred for Deathclaws. The first time i played i was gang probed by a group of Deathclaws, then i thought i'd outsmart them and go around, only to be swarmed by Cazadors. Now i know how to play so i actively hunt down Deathclaws at every opportunity. For some reason i find women the hardest to kill, followed closely by wild dogs and coyotes. kevkiev
Cazadores (and the Monster Mod equivalent "Black Wasps") - I just love snipin' em with my fully-modded Scarab Laser Rifle, an uber-cool blue themed laser rifle mod, one version of which is about equivalent to the AER14 prototype. I love the challenge from those little buggers zipping back and forth so fast. I also love (in a love/hate kinda way) going up against AWOP's Tech Raiders - those guys are freakin' relentless and, when there's a wack of 'em together (eg. in Underground East) you've gotta really think through your combat strategy. Oh, and of course I never tire of off'n legion members. Put together an all-female crew for my current game, just to rub it in.
VincentIcarus
What are your favorite targets? Cazadores - I made myself a mod that adds a 12 Gauge Machinegun based off the Grenade Machinegun so Cazadores are now fun to kill. Grenade Machinegun + buckshot rounds + high rate of fire = No more dying of poison. Deathclaws - My favorite to kill. They are always the toughest and most dangerous creatures in the entire Fallout series so I feel like a badass when one falls prey to my Armor Piercing rounds. Vipers/Gunslingers - No challenge here. Mercs - No challenge here either. Great Khans - I like the Khans and I feel bad about what the NCR did to them so it just doesn't feel right killing them. Brotherhood - I like the Brotherhood (the West Coast Brotherhood not those wannabe's in D.C.) so I have no reason to kill them although it can be quite challenging when I try. Geckos - Almost as annoying as Cazadores especially the Fire Geckos but I really like the baby Gecko's. They're too cute to kill. Ghouls - Probably my second most favorite to kill (Ferals, not regular Ghouls). Dawn of the Dead anyone? Legion - Too easy, even when they attack in large numbers. Colt M4 + Extended Mags + Armor Peircing rounds = Lots of dead Legionaries. *Yawn* NCR - I like the NCR. Well, I used to but I still think they're trying to do the best they can despite the political corruption so I pretty much leave them alone. Robots - Armor Peircing rounds = Dead Robots *Yawn* next.... Lakelurks - Fun but a little too easy to kill. Mutants - 1st Gen Mutants (the intelligent ones) are by far my favorite characters in the Fallout series but I still love loading up Fallout 3 going to the D.C. ruins and slaughtering those 3rd Gen retards. Powder Gangers - I get annoyed by how they throw 10-15 sticks of dynamite at you but when you kill them they only have 1-2 on their person. Sniping them with a DSR-1 Subsonic loaded with Match rounds is my favorite way of dispatching them. Boomers - Xenophobes who love explosives. Why would I ever kill a kindred spirit? Radscorpions - Troublesome to deal with when I'm running low on AP rounds. Other than that ... eh ... *shrug* Fiends - Always fun to go running amock in Vault 3 (which is set to respawn). Never really much of a challenge except when there are about 3-4 of them with Laser RCW's. Probably my 3rd or 4th favorite.
drakeelvin
The best and most challenging fight I ever had was when I joined the legion once I went and attacked the soldiers and snipers of 1st Recon at Camp McCarran. Even with Lily and Rex helping I had to retreat to the street outside but even then they pursued me in force. Fantastic brawl. What I liked was the NCR used a good combination of rifles and grenades so there was really nowhere to take cover, they just kept shooting and chucking a lot of grenades at me, as they should, so I was constantly pinned down and taking frag grenade damage. We all died btw lol. At the opposite end of the spectrum for difficulty, I really like shooting Bighorners becasue with your varmint rifle you can get as much XP as a you get for a Deathclaw, plus you get food, and it only takes one bullet when you shoot from stealth :D Edited July 2, 2011 by drakeelvin
frakle
Massacring the Omertas is always fun.Greeter: 'Ok, give me your guns'Me: 'Nobody separates me from my guns'Greeter: 'You sure you want to? It'll bring every man in this place down on you'Me; 'Yep, let's rock.'Greeter: 'Alright, this is gonna be fun...' That's the actual conversation, too. Killing raiders and NCR soldiers is fun also.
