New Hand-to-hand Animations for 3rd person

Hey all! I´m really gettin bored by those boring hand-to-hand anims. I mean... Just beating left and right is... boring^^ I could do that too!

 

I looked for anims in the net but couldn´t find any good ones... Well I found one with a kick but I don´t want that. And one with the unequipped idle for hand-to-handidle...

 

But let´s talk about the request:

It should look like the character is a SKILLED hand-to-hand fighter and not just an amateur that just beats left and right, beats with 2 fists from above, and turns one time around before beating just to look cool.

 

And a new Idle would be cool too... The idle should be a bit more relaxed and not like a little hyperactive child. And the block is boring too... The character should maybe cross his arms to block and not just use his fists...#

 

If you like the idea and want to create a mod like this, pls pm me or write into this thread. And if you want more ideas or infos fell free to ask here ;)

While you're unlikely to find an animator on the request forums, here's what I'd advise you.(They're a pretty rare find, and I've never known any to work by request, but you never know http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/turned.gif)

 

Firstly detail your request a little more. You say you want to see a skilled hand to hand fighter? But do you want a hardcore boxer, or a badass martial arts master of the hands? Just add a little more detail, as your description is a bit to vague. I'm not saying you need to sketch out every motion of the animation, just describe what you want a little more, but leave a little room for your animator to improvise.

 

Also, I'd suggest maybe PM'ing an animator, as not many pass through the request forums.

OK! Thx for the answer...Well it should look like the car is a skilled boxer. But not like Vladimir Klitschko xD. Vladimir Klitschko and every proboxer follows some rules. The character shouldn´t do that^^ He/She should do everything to knock or kill the enemy and to stay alive. And he/she should somehow protect more that just the face. For example in real I wouldn´t just try to hit the face. A good aimed hit at the upper chest would be deadly.

 

Well... saying deadly reminds me of something... Powerattacks should hit the head because of Deadly Reflex. It would look very silly if the powerattack hits the upper body but the head explodes xD.

 

But the normal attacks should change between face and upper body. And also I have an idea for the block animation.

 

One arm and hand should protect the head and the other one the upper body.

Carimy, I don't want to kill your great enthusiasm, but you sure underestimate the magnitude of the project you describe. Heavily.

Why do you think there are thousands of extremely good outfits out there, but almost no new animations? Because they are so difficult.

 

To be better than the original anims you not only need an animator, you need a MoCap system and a guy (boxer) who can put your moves in scene. Because an animator would/could never do that by hand.

 

You say there are only a few animations? Oblivion has 18 different hand2hand attack moves. How many do you intend to define? Believe me, just making them BBB compatible is a hell lot of work. :wink:

@Amayakyrol: That´s not what I´m looking for... I don´t want my character to kick so often. The kick of deadly reflex is good enough...
