gusklein
Like mentioned in the topic description, the idea is not necessary a new MOD, but collect ALL the well Consolidated & Tested MODs (here in "The Nexus") putting them in a few easy install packages. One pack with all bug fixes, environmental upgrades, graphics upgrades, animals, creatures, enemies, mounts, horses, items, objects, movements, physics, camera, and everything related upgrades without change the central heart of the game, without "easy-supergod" items or " strange implements" like motorcycles. Then, another pack with new areas, armors, weapons, quests, castles, dungeons, lands, skills, races, guilds, factions, buildings and everything related without change the central heart of the game, without "easy-supergod" items or " strange implements" like motorcycles. But creativity is welcome, like the "Rope Arrow". Basically, the idea is 3 principal packs: A Correction Super Pack (bug fixes and improvements of all existing things in the game); An Upgrade Super Pack (adding new things, more realistic, exciting gameplay characteristics and options to the existing material in the game); and An Expansion Super Pack (adding new things, like areas, armors, weappons, cities, castles, buildings, races, quests, guilds, and everything new, WITHOUT change the heart of the game). Theeeeen, other packs with the "strange implements", unexpected and surprisingly variety of changes. BUT again, only well consolidated and stable MODs. Another thing, I have Oblivion GOTY for MAC. If someone can help with the installation of the mods in the OS X version of the game, I will be very grateful. Thanks and Congrats for this excellent forum!!! LHammonds
We typically don't allow compilation packs at the Nexus.
Slawter500
Generally, compilation packs are troublesome to get together, as you'd have to rush around grabbing permissions, and other such things. While it's a fine idea, there's a reason it doesn't exist so far.
Pronam
yup -. Permissions and sustained permissions. You won't get permission from most authors and some authors don't want certain mods combined together with theirs. If you don't have the explicit permission it'll be likely to be removed at first sight.-. Updates. Every mod updates and if you'd make a working compilation it'd mean you've changed it and thus you're unable to simply merge 'n update.. It's usually combined with permissions as most authors simply won't give it as they'd get complaints about the mod on theirs, while with their latest update, or just not with a certain mod it'd have worked out fine.
