fnvedit + scripts

You need the GECK to compile the script source code.

The GECK has several shortcomings, but they can be overcome. What do you dislike about using it? You can use the GECK PowerUp if you're having trouble getting scripts to compile. It will notify you about most errors instead of just silently failing.

MWedit had a script compiler, but all versions of the 'edit' program that came after it don't

You'd think that they would keep one of the most useful features the older ones had

the speed of geck is the biggest problem. fnvedit is just double click and open. geck is click click click click x15 then wait 20 minutes for it to load. When you're fixing your work waiting for geck is a huge PINTA.
