It seems like the links in my last post are messed up. They just take me back to this page. Anyone else with this problem?

Also, whats the difference between the MSI and EVGA GTX 970?

Is my mobo what it should be?

Am I a big kid?

WHat do you guys think about clear acrylic cases? I think they lok cool but would this http://www.xoxide.com/xopacl1.html or this http://www.xoxide.com/xopacl2.html look cool or are they just flashy and not worth it? If not those, I was either going to go with the Fractal Design Arc Midi R2(like Hoofhearted) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352031 or this Gorsair Graphite 760T case http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Graphite-Series-Tower-Windowed/dp/B00P7TPYI2/ref=dp_ob_title_ce

Both the MSI and the EVGA are fine cards. The MSI is probably the quietest GTX 970 available, while the EVGA is almost as quiet and marginally faster due to a higher core clock.

The mainboard seems a bit too expensive. These ones are absolutely fine:

I'd also take some faster RAM, like this. In most games you won't notice a difference, but a few games (BF4 comes to my mind, but there are a few others as well) do profit from faster RAM.

The Samsung 840 EVOs are EOL already and often suffer from slow downs. Just google for it. I'd recommend a Crucial MX100 256 Gb or the newer MX200 250 Gb.

With the money you could save from buying the Arc Midi instead of the Graphite 760T you may also want to think about changing from the i5-4690K to the i7-4790K. The i5 is still perfectly fine, but more and more games do make use of the additional threads the i7 provides due to Hyper-Threading.

I don't see a CPU cooler and a PSU in your list. You have these already?

Ill probably get the EVGA then. The noise doesnt really bother me.

I thought it was but it was a highly recommended board. Which one you listed would you recommend?

Thanks for the RAM. I thought 1600mhz was fine but I will most likely be playing some FPS games so this will come in handy.

I thought about getting the 4790k because lf hyperthreading but people said the polymer thermal material made it run hotter and therefore people said it would need ample cooling for OC. Is this just exaggerrated or is it really that much hotter?

For the CPU cooling, I dont have it mainly because I dont plan to OC until after I build it and make sure it is running well. For the PSU, I simply havent researched them.

I was looking at cases and the Fractal Arc Midi and I really like it(thanks Hoof) but I saw on Newegg that there was a XL version for 20 bucks more. Would it be more effecient at airflow and cooling or just too big?

The XL is better, in that it's larger, heavier, got more room, can put a second card in for SLI later.

The 4790K is considerably more expensive and generally I can't think of a game where it makes any improvement. The difference is within the margin of error; moreover, the overclocked tests show the 4970K at 4.7 GHz to be slower in some cases than the 4690K at the same:

http://www.anandtech.com/show/8227/devils-canyon-review-intel-core-i7-4790k-and-i5-4690k/5

The i7 is an improvement if you do CFD, heavy video editing, other professional work, but hyperthreading did nothing for games since it was first used and it still does nothing for games now, certainly not with 4-core CPU.

For the video card, the MSI is currently $20 cheaper. Since it's exactly the same card with slightly better cooling than the EVGA, that's basically a free $20.
