Framerate trouble

Every time I play, I get an extreme drop in fps. Let me explain.

I can start the game up fine and play for a while, but eventually my framerate drops EXTREMELY low. I'm talking about 45-50fps normally dropping to 1-2fps. It usually occurs after fast traveling, but can also occur after exiting the inventory screen. The only way to fix it is to exit and restart the game.

These are the mods I'm using and the load order:

And here is the conflict report:

Any ideas what the problem could be? Thanks in advance.

I have neither encountered nor heard of this before, and my only advice would be a guess. Try typing "PCB" (Purge Cell Buffer) in the console. Unless I'm very mistaken, this will erase preloaded cells and reduce lag. I don't know that this could be the root of your problem, though.

Whether or not that does it, to really fix the problem we need to find out what's causing it, which means I probably can't help you much further. I'll try my best anyway, though; and to start, when did the problem first occur, and did it occur before on a smaller scale? And does disabling any mods help?

Best of luck, and nice sig.

Well first of all you are running Qarls texture pack. And not very many machines can run that well without noticing at drop in performance. When I used it, I was running Oblivion maxed out. Resolution and everything and never dropped below 50 fps. I also had anti aliasing plus HDR running at the same time. Then I installed qarls. Once I did that, I dropped down to 20-38 fps. I would never rise above that. So try uninstalling Qarls and see what that does. Do you have a really good pc?

I hope this helps.

Well if that is not the problem then I really have no clue. Have you tried reinstalling the game as a last resort?

Well that is very interesting. I will have to look into that. Once I get more ram lol. Well if it has fixed it then good for you. I'm glad :) Happy Gaming!

It seems that most of us players spend more time fixing Oblivion then we do actually playing the damn thing lol.
