JimboUK
I'm making a bar for New Vegas, I want it to have music but for obvious reasons can't include any, or at least any worth listening to. I created a music type and set the cell to use that music type, only to find out that that no longer works. I found this guide and followed it http://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php?title=Fallout_New_Vegas_Music The problem I have is the guide and the dialogue suggest I can select a folder or file as a media set, however while selecting a file works just fine, selecting a folder results in silence. I want the game to pick MP3's from a folder so users can dump their own music in, is this possible anymore or do I have to create multiple media sets and have users rename their MP3's? Jokerine
I remember following that guide too to try and play music on some new cells but I never managed to get it to work either. Hope someone can enlighten us :)
JimboUK
I set up a media set for individual tracks, added them to the media controller set to random, connected that to an audio marker and it worked fine. The things is I don't want to have to set up 40 or so media sets and then ask users to rename 40 or so MP3's, hell that's if you can even add that number of sets to a media controller. I'd rather make it for NV but I'll make the thing in FO3 if need be, I understand that does things the old fashioned way.
rickerhk
Unfortunately there is not a single example in the vanilla esm where a media set selects a folder. All selections are specific files. So that is likely what you are stuck with. The media location controllers will take at least 25 media sets in the 'set' boxes - that's as much as I've used. 40 is probably not an issue. JimboUK
Yeah I looked through some of them and couldn't find one, it does kind of acknowledge you've selected a folder by brackets appearing around the Outer, Middle and Inner boxes. I'll have a look for a free renaming application I can link to in the description if this ever gets done, people can use that. Thanks for replying.
