Premium Subscription Payment Method

Now that I finally have a job I'd like to subscribe to the Premium service. But since I've moved to China (where my work is) Paypal is assuming I'm a criminal until I can verify my identity. This is taking forever to do. Only after that will I be able to put more money on the Paypal account which will take another week to process.

Is there a way I can pay with my debit card so I can get on with my life and avoid the frustration of Paypal altogether?

If there is someone I should PM or email about this issue I'd appreciate it.

There is normally a subtle link somewhere on the payment page to pay with a credit or debit card without having to have a Pay Pal account.

When I do a dummy payment I get this option:

Don't have a PayPal account?

Use your credit card or bank account (where available). Continue

If you click "Continue" it should take you to a page to enter your card details without having to create an account.

Hopefully this will help and thanks for your support.

I am known to be stupid about these things but I see no such link.

When I choose select payment method this is what I see:

Available Payment Methods Payment Method

PayPal

All major credit cards accepted. See PayPal for more information. You can also pay directly through your bank account.

No linky.

Sorry to be a bother.

Immediately after clicking the PayPal button on the forums I get taken to this page:

That's before clicking or doing anything on the Pay Pal site. The link is on that page (and visible in the image).

I'm sure I followed your instructions properly. But there is no such link on my PayPal screen.

I reloaded it several times to be sure it was finished, I even tried using a different browser.

It looks like I'll have to wait for PayPal to verify my identity.

NOTICE: Our screens are distinctly different if you look at the top and bottom of the screen. Mine says English and info bit at the bottom is different. It makes no difference whether I use regular China Internet or my U.S. VPN.

Think the option maybe limited to UK? I tried on a Netherlands VPN and dont get the payment screen, but disable so shows UK IP and it comes up with card payment options

That's an idea... I'll see if I can redirect my VPN to the UK. Thank you for the implied suggestion! :-)

Unless of course it means my debit card has to be UK too.

Quick update, I checked this morning and PayPal verified me. Now I just have to wait 3 days for the money transfer, yay!
