want good mods but keep level scaling

Good stuff, I'll keep them in mind.

Yet another question (I'm just full of them, aren't I), is there a basic suggested walkthrough for people playing with FCOM? You know, suggested locations and quests to level up, since the order of questing from vanilla is out the window.

By the way it was designed, the Afinity sword can be a bliss for a PC of any level. With careful play it can vanquish even those pesky gargoyles that seems able to slay a whole bunch of ogres thanks to their absurd physical and magical resistances or those liches that love to cast reflect on themselves. That's because it's magical damage always applies and can't be reflected, deflected or denied.

Not than the damage output is high, actually it escalate on fly with the player level and attributes/skills (which mean potions/spells that enhance them can affect the weapon significantly, mainly the "luck"). Many unaware users left it before understanding the awesome weapon he/she actually had in the hands.

So, despite the shameless auto advertizing here, one should try it for time enough to notice how dependable that weapon can be without spoiling the fun and killing the danger sense. The real danger is becoming in fact addicted to it. The weapon changes not only the damage output through the player growing in experience, it becomes increasingly nimbler and the reach increases slightly to reflect the player actually learned to "dance" with it (sadly these two last effects can't be applied on fly due to engine restriction, reequipping the weapon is enough to do the trick, since it is something to be noticeable only after a few leveling, not too annoying).

Once a certain number of undeads is killed, the weapon will have fulfilled it's cleansing and Meridia's blessing comes to it's highs. The weapon gains two new abilities, one being the soultrap and the other may turn the weapon a tad overpower since it's a healing effect by a fraction the damage it delivers (keep slashing and be happy).

Note: Neither the name "Afinity" is a typo here nor the weapon base damage being showed as 0 (zero) when idle is a bug, it is designed this way and changes as soon as the player enters combat mode.

Be advised, Meridia shuns the wicked and the weapon may refuse to help evil characters.
