CTD whenever a spell touches someone

I'm having a little trouble with this. And I cannot pinpoint the cause. I have 92 plugins. Even disabling all plugins except the unofficial patch. Whenever a spell touches it's target. The game crashes to desktop. The game is fine when the spell hits anything other than an enemy or npc. So lets take a fireball for example. The fireball is fine if it slams into a wall. But crashes the second it touches a bandit or character. Some other spells are fine like conjuring a creature or healing, Casting light works until the spell timer is up. Then it crashes. Any idea why it's doing this?

 

EDIT: I've narrowed it down to the SKSE Loader. The game works fine and as intended through the Skyrim Launcher. But crashes whenever a spell comes in contact with someone through the SKSE Loader. Which is an even worse problem because half the mods I have require SKSE. I've done a clean re-install of SKSE to no effect.

I use LOOT to sort the load order. But even turning off all mods. The game still crashes when a spell hits a character. Could it be a script issue? Or mesh / texture issue? I know it's not a system issue as I have a GTX970 and 16GB DDR5 RAM so it's not a stress problem. I also use Mod Organizer and TES5 Edit to clean bad plugins.

I don't see anything directly conflicting, but what is this mod?

It allows you to charge a spell to stronger and stronger levels. Ultimately allowing you to unleash a visually stronger blast by holding down the cast key. I re downloaded it to see it's folder structure and it modifies these files.

Yes, maybe a script issue.

Do you have savegame script cleaner?

If not, look it up and download it, use it.

 

Use the Delete # and orphaned scripts, just those two. Not sure what reset havok does. The program comes with instructions anyways, I think.

Okay so it seems to be any type of attack to an enemy or NPC that causes the game to crash to desktop. This includes: Hand to hand, Archery, Magic, Swords. All forms of combat that physically touch the enemy or NPC.

Even with all plugins disabled the game will CTD. I narrowed it down to the most recent mods which I installed all in one day. These are the only mods I've installed in the past week. And they were all in one day. Before adding these. The game ran smoothly. Is there any way of pinpointing which mods files are causing this?

Hey Cowgoesmoo3. I downloaded that tool and ran it through mod organizer. It cleaned 300 something files from the save. I can say this much. Hand to hand as well as archery and swords work again! However whenever magic hits a character it still causes a crash to desktop. But I do appreciate that little tool. It certainly fixed some of the issues.

Okay so I narrowed it down a little better. I disabled all plugins and moved the /Scripts folder out of the /Data folder and ran the game through the launcher. Everything seemed to work perfectly fine. Magic worked. Hand to hand. Everything was fine. That means it has to be in the scripts folder. Something is causing it to conflict. Would it help if I posted a screenshot of the folder contents? Because I have no idea what a .psc file is. But I understand their names. Like

[Skyrim/Data/Scripts][Weapon.pex] & [Skyrim/Data/Source][Weapon.psc] I'm guessing that's a weapon script haha. That's about the extent of my knowledge here. But the folder has 142 files in it and I haven't the faintest clue what to look for.

A quick heads up. After an hour of trial and error with removing files from the Scripts folder I decided to look at SKSE. Turns out it's the SKSE Loader that I always load my game from. Which is kind of important. The regular launcher will work fine, even with all script files and all plugins active. It's SKSE that's messed up. I tried removing all SKSE files and reinstalling but the problem persisted. What do I do now? Is it okay to play through the games original launcher? instead of the SKSE Loader? If I remember correctly, your supposed to use the SKSE Loader right?
