Veshmare
OK, some mods work just fine using Fallout Mod Manager, others just crash the game soon after opening. I have NVSE installed, I think, correctly. So basically I'm asking if someone can Barney-Style this for me to make sure I have it all right and what the issue might be. nosisab
crash on startup most of times is due to missing parent esm. Possibly some mods you are trying need some kind of resource pack.
Veshmare
But, the only mod I have with a main file extension (doesnt work) is mikoto's beauty pack. The other ones are from nexus and 1 file downloads. how do I check the parent esm or can I? Edited January 3, 2011 by Veshmare
FutureVisions
Check your load order. See if none of a mod's plugins is loading before the mod's master.Other than that it might be a compatibility issue. Best advice is to single out the mod with the problem. So load the game excluding one of the mods at a time and see which one is crashing the game. Or the other way around. Start the game without mods and load one mod at a time to see which one crashes. nosisab
futurevisions directions are sound. To find if a mod need a parent esm, the better is looking for it's prerequisites at it's description/documentation.
