Tiberiu911
There was one part though (which I can't find back anymore for some reason) which has a little piece of truth: He was complaining about armor for females, how they are unrealistic because they just show skin and don't really protect the person. Which is true. Oblivion has this a LITTLE bit (iron armor), the female version always shows more skin. Well that just proves that most of the developpers are male. personally, I dont mind about that, as it doesnt ruin my realism at all. I can be quite picky when it comes to esthetic gear and having skin show on female characters is a plus. But thats just my oppinion as a male teenager ^^. Landsknecht
That was funny, but was funnier was the fact that they had to say nothing here should be taken seriously. I guess they realized that the internet is serious business.
Mercbird
I agree on hating for the turn based, third person top down thing and add why bother choosing a pretty picuture that looks nothing like your character and show up a square centimetre big at the bottom left of the screen when you are talking. And hell yes, the female armour, I'd like to see a blond male ranger in a thong and spiked heels strutting about and ... no actually, I would not. I like having chainmail between my neck and my nipples, too. Not just up to. Showing flesh is what dresses are for. And its easier being a damsell in distress without a full suit of chainmail. Yeh just looked at the article again and i know what you mean :P But on a realistic front, not being funny but not all female wood elves are going to be able to carry the same armour as the males, and maybe its just a personal thing but i prefer a certain amount of realism. I think the problem is that it's difficult to get the right balance between a kind of 'reality' with something which doesn't actually exist (soory dudes it's true - this never really happened), which oblivion does manage, or other games which i won't mention but was dissapointed with. And i suppose it also depends on the designers disposition at the time ;) EDIT - Just read the posts which were posted while i was typing, and i get where you're coming from mercbird
Mercbird
He he, I always wonder why I should be prepared to take jugular slicing blow to the neck or midriff if the guys are not willing to do the same! Seeing as how I prefer first person, I dont even have the pleasure of seeing my own impropable bottom jiggling around impossible monsters, and if I have no choice (Dreamfall, The Longest Journey) I just keep thinking how much thats going to hurt. No matter how much kung-fu training I get. Chivalry has died. Else I'd get armour. Perving or no. :excl: Edit: Ah cr.p this is too serious I can 'choose' to have the boys run around as half naked eye candy mwhahahahaaa >cackle< cough cough. >Imagine the entire Imperial guard wearing shields and 'short' swords<
