GePalladium
Hi :) I made a new world space. I referred to Google Map, I gave the true names of the places, and I respected geography. I placed my world space on the map, the coordinates are correct. But the orientation N / S is bad. There is a coast with an access to the river, to the east. It is very important the map marker "cove" should be located east side compared to the map marker west side (canyon side). I tried to add a map marker "North" but nothing happens. Actually I can't even place it. I hope not to have to redo everything O.o. I can't find anything on the web about it... Maybe I do not use the goods word for google research... I don't know. Thank you for reading and please keep me informed if you can help me. Gé
jcdenton2012
ObjectWindowSearch: Mapmarker, select the one with the blue house icon next to it. Drop it down in the world cell you are creating. All map markers are the same, you don't so much create a new map marker for each new location, as... create new locations using a single type of map marker. Now, go to Marker Data, check off Marker Data and name it whatever your location actually is, then under type select what type of identifier it is, and by identifier I mean the art icon that will be represented upon the map by the activated marker. Select fast travel, if any, visible if you don't want people to instantly know where it is, and ignore show all hidden. Then hit ok at the bottom and you are done. Move the map marker down to where you want it. If you want to set up fast travel to the map marker then be aware that such a thing is a totally different bag of hammers. Aintiarna
I assume you mean a "North Marker" not "Map Marker"? North Markers have no effect in exterior worldspaces. Other than that I'm having trouble visualising what you're trying to achieve with the worldspace. I'm assuming that the mapmarkers within the worldspace are not appearing in the correct place when you look on the main pipboy map. Is that correct? If you're stuck PM me and I'll give you my email, send me the mod and I'll take a look at it. Edit: Also in "World" -> "Worldspaces" in the GECK there are various options that affect the positioning and orientation of your worldspace. I assume you've played with those, but just in case. Fallout2AM
Mmmh, I interpreted it in a different way. I interpreted she did a "real" location but the landscape is not oriented in the right way - north is not up, east is not right etc. so that when you go in game the location you should find at north is in reality at east etc.etc. (maybe in another direction, however not the correct one) If it's so, I'm sorry but I personally have never read anything to modify that - not sure if it's even possible :-/ Edited May 13, 2015 by Fallout2AM
jcdenton2012
I think you can, because I remember seeing some examples in The Pitt and Operation Anchorage where they drop in North markers and do some references to them. I think that might help align the map if the geography is all screwy, but... I don't know for certain.
