Load Save Crash

Ok heres the deal.... i have been playing oblivion for about a week now and everything was fine and dandy.... had a few mods installed (mainly enhanced textures etc) then i downloaded a mod that supposedly required me to have Wrye Bash or was recommended to have it to make a bashed patch.

 

So no problem decide to download and try install (that was a challenge in itself with all the things needed and was pissing me off constantly) finally got it to install and work then i followed a guide on how to make a bashed patch.

 

That went all fine but now when i load up my Oblivion through Mod manager it will work fine till i choose my character then it just crashes and shows this error message "Oblivion has stopped working - A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available".

 

So i think its something to do with the bash patch or me doing something wrong while creating it because before i used that everything worked fine aside from a little lag occasionally.

So if you have any advice or solutions on how to fix this problem it would be much appreciated.

 

PS: This happened on both autosave and the quicksaves of my character ( i dont use normal save because its not as fast and efficient).

Natural Weather and IWR are both outdated. You should consider replacing them with Weather All Natural (which incorporates NW), and the far better and optimized AWLS. You should also install BOSS and reorder your load list.

 

When you have done that, rebuild your Bashed Patch and only include:

 

Merge Patches

Import ... (anything starting with Import)

Contents Checker

Leveled Lists

Race Records ... (If you have custom races installed)

SEWorld Tests ... (Only if you have Shivering Isles installed)

 

If you still have problems after that, please repost your mod list via Wrye Bash (right click on the File tab and select 'List Mods...' Please include the SPOILER and CODE boxes.

Natural Weather may be outdated, but that doesn't make your game crash.... just do not use Natural Weather and Natural Weather HDR together. Another thing is, do not rely on autosave and quicksave. If used too much without deleting them everytime before saving, they will be overwritten, then corrupted in the end(once corrupted, there's no way to repair them).

Well i guess i have made some progress i deselected all things aside from Race Records and SEWorld tests when rebuilding bash patch and it seems to work fine now but however i did this before reading these replies should i still download Weather All Natural and BOSS? I'll start saving rather than quicksaving from now on though

Id also like to know i installed BOSS and can use it fine however i cant see the BOSS icon in the bottom of wrye bash like i have seen on other screen shots.... Is there something i have to do to achieve that or something i have done that caused that not to happen?

Make sure you have the latest version of Wrye Bash.

Im pretty sure i have the latest version of wrye bash and python as i downloaded from tesnexus which i think constantly updates... but is that the only thing that can stop it from having BOSS show up in the bottom taskbar in wrye bash? ok have another problem now i installed HG EyeCandy Body and MaleBodyReplacerV4 as omods.... When i installed the eye candy body it worked fine and didnt screw up but after i installed body replaced all the eyes of and faces were messed up and black in my game then i tried deleting them through Oblivion Mod Manager and now when i try to start the game it will go to a black screen then immediately quit out.... please help me... one problem after another with me Edited January 10, 2011 by MHWadester

My guess is that you didn't rebuild your Bashed Patch. I am going to repeat my previous advice to you:

"please repost your mod list via Wrye Bash (right click on the File tab and select 'List Mods...' Please include the SPOILER and CODE box".

well i rebuilt patch and now all is working thanks for help.... is there any mods that you could recommend ?
