 Rub salt in the wound... I'm only just above minimum...

Sorry, I don't mean to brag...but I would have been super-pissed if the rig I built specifically for this game wouldn't max it.

So I'm not the only one who spent at least $900 (that's what I spent, you could've spent more) on a computer for a $60 game http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/laugh.gif

I heard the kids played tag, but I didn't know you could as well, pretty cool, nice little touch. It has quite a lot of these sort of things, and is shaping up to be a pretty sweet sandbox.....MODS!!!!!!!

I know right?!? It's little things like this that are already in the game that just mean that the mods are going to be even more amazing for Skyrim. I'm pretty excited! :woot:

No WAY!! :O .. I didn't read it... gonna read it now .. I'm so excited  .. I love stuff like this! .. omg omg .. I wonder if I can get my friend/companion to play with us  This is such a delightful little detail of immersion!

Sounds like Bethesda has really spent some time polishing this game, taking this into consideration I doubt there will be many bugs or issues that have plagued earlier games from Bethesda. Awesome news about the kids playing tag, there have been RPG games with kids in them before but they were little more than annoying floor decorations.

I know there has been much talk about having NPC characters as companions, but has there been any mention of having pets? It would be useful to be able to rest out in the woods with dog on guard while your character sleeps instead of getting that annoying message "you cannot rest while enemies are nearby" - which kinda ruins the immersion of the game. I would prefer it if enemies had the option of attacking you while you are asleep and being woken up by the attacker/or your guard dog barking, with the usual post-slumber penalties to intelligence and dexterity would apply - at least without a morning coffee.

Dogs are definitely available as companions. But as a pet, like it sticks around at your house and doesn't follow you around the world, I don't know.

I wouldn't be at all surprised that you can give instructions to companions. Like leave the dog home with the wife

i know we have to activate skyrim througoh steam, but does that mean we have to LOG on to STEAM everytime we want to play SKYRIM? Like i have too with Shogun 2 Total War? i can log in the off line mod of steam but it wont let me join the game OFF LINE until i log ONLINE to steam. :(

Nope, like jedimembrain said, you can be offline once you register the game online once.

I'd recommend you check this out, it's posted by GStaff on the official forums: http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1242199-skyrim-and-steam/

alright thanks. i hope so.. and as far as the getting skyrim at 12 midnight is going country wide from game stop. i know they're letting us do it where i live too.

Really the only games that do that tend to be smaller titles that relay on PC sales and anti piracy .. or giant games that have some thick headed corporate no name suit that decides they will make more money if they can stop pirates with some over the top measure like needing an internet connection "Splinter Cell Convictions" .. But I don't see bethesda making a mistake that big .. they produce there own games so they don't have no name suits controlling where and how there games are released.
