CTD when dying and loading saves

When i die or load a save (Not when i startup the game but when i load a save when i'm already playing) I get a CTD. This is a new save and i haven't deleted any mods so i don't know why i'm CTD'ing..... Help please :smile:

 

 

 

 

 

 

EDIT: It's probably worth noting that i have a lot of mods (I have about 200 plugins)

I use Merged Patch and Bashed Patch

Well, while having over 200 plugins active, a CTD like that is to be expected actually. I play Skyrim with over 250 plugins active and Wrye Bash is already complaining to me that I have to many plugins lol. And yes, I do experience this sometimes in my game, especially when dying and reloading a save with such high activity (scripts running), such as in combat and in an exterior cell. But I tend to be able to load save games in interior cells, scripts do not fire as active. It's also worth mentioning that with such high plugins count infinite loading is to be expected too.

 

You want solutions? Well I can't find a definitive one. You will just have to tone down your mods quantity (especially the scripted ones). If you're like me, and can't just tone down your mod list easily, well do try to live with it.

why do people seem to think its so cool to have 200+ mods? Most ive ever had installed was maybe 70. And that is literally everything I could possibly want in the game. Now I run an ENB, patches, gameplay overhauls and patches, some mods to enhance the enb experience, and a couple others like alternate start and when vampires attack. I have NO CTD, no infinite loading screens, and fast loading times.

 

I would rather have the game bug free, still look nice, gameplay how I prefer, and be stable, over having 250 mods to brag about and have my game run like s#*!. 35 fps and crashing and freezing isn't playable or fun.

 

Just seems like people thing its the cool thing to do to install every mod they come across and then brag about their 200 mods.

Having the same issue as the OP. The game was running fine but I decided to start another play through. I removed all mods, and did all the steps to make Skyrim vanilla again. I then started a new game and did not start adding mods until after the dragon attack at Helgen. I am basically running the same mods as before, but added a few others like xp32 Skeleton, and FNIS. If anyone has any suggestions I'm listening.

Using latest version of SKSE, LOOT, and NNM. All drivers are up to date. There are only 95 active plugins so far. The last play through had 146 with 25 Quest mods all activated.

 

I don't understand why it CTDs when dying or loading a save while in game. Also the initial load seams to take longer than it did before.

The most I've ever had was tops 50 mods... and that was plenty. While it would be nice to have that many mods, some of them aren't necessary... Do you really need http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8087/? Or http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3773/? I didn't think so.

So i fixed this by going in Wrye Bash and looking at my mods. If you see any mods that are orange, then you have to go to TES5Edit and double click on that esp. When it's loaded, right click it and press sort masters. It will look like nothing happened, but when you go to Wrye bash again, you will see that the mod is now green. After doing this, i loaded up the game, saved and exited. I went back into wrye bash and pressed the "saves" My saves used to be green (Which is the second best) but now they are purple (It's the BEST :)) After doing this i don't CTD when dying and i think i get less CTD's overall :).

 

Hope this helps anyone with the same problem :))))
