Nadimos
Hi, I dont know, if this is high in requestment or anything right now, but just now i thought, it could be a nice touch given to the site, to have an auto-endorsment feature for the original mod, when you vote for... lets say a retexture of it. Nadimos
The credit system in itself is a fine system as it is. Still it would be great to be able give appreciation to the original author through same site, for instance for the original mesh.I dont want to navigate the site, then extra-download it and wait three-hours until i can give it a push. Maybe i should call this button: Thank the original author or something. A simple thumbs-up system aka i love you, too. x) Edited January 10, 2011 by Nadimos

I would say it should count. But only if you had not already endorsed the original. If the author of the "Hello Kitty" texture felt enough of the original retexture was left to warrant linking that mod to his endorsements, then it is probably reasonable. It would just be up to the uploader of the new mod to choose which mods should be autoendorsed. The problem comes if mod authors link mods not really anything to do with the current one, just to artifically bump up endorsements on other files. But i think a couple of whacks of the ban stick from some moderators would fix that habit :)
Yossarian22
This could easily be abused. At least it should prevent linking your own mod files... otherwise you can imagine what will happen... beside that, sounds like an interesting idea.
