Umbra - Kickstarter

So I wanted to bring attention to a game I've backed and been following on Kickstarter called Umbra. I'll let you go there and read about it but i'll give a short summary

 

Its an open world Diablo basically. It runs on Cryengine 3. They are focusing on customization. If you want to be a two hand weapon wielding fireball casting thief, you can go for it. Weapons are customizable in great detail. there is forging as well. As i said, the game is open world, not linear based like Most ARPGs. It has a fully unique story. Skills and environment interact. Lightning in water and fire on ice are just a couple they've mentioned (the obvious ones) They talk about destructible environments. They also have something called an Apocalyptic Form, which sounds like an ability you unlock that is tailored to how you've been playing the game. basically the Apocalyptic Form will be based on if you've been doing a lot of melee, a lot of dodging, using fire spells, or what have you, and did i mention it's running on CryEngine 3 and looks absolutely beautiful? particle effects, swaying grass in the wind. the environment reacts to you and your skills.

 

Anyways, this is a crude overview. Please Please go check it out! they arent asking for much. The campaign has only been going on for (i think) 5 days and they are already over 50% of their goal with 4000 backers and counting. the game itself is already quite a ways along (vs just an idea with sketches), the money is mostly for wrapping things up and production. Even if you aren't interested, I would ask you to kindly spread the word. someone you know, or dont know, may be interested in such a game but wouldn't hear about it otherwise.
