sankuri
I thinking about little DLC conversion Operation Anchorage and Mothership Zeta into New Vegas. That 2 DLC has map outside of F3 world so implement can be relatively easy. My idea is some program what copy DLC files from F3 to FNV folder and able them playble into New Vegas. Can anyone do it? Or is possible do it manualy? Is that compatible?
bfg10k17
I'm not sure if it's legal. I think only half of the DLC files made it into NV and with them it could hardly be done.As I said, I'm not sure. SoberBarn
How is it illegal to use someone else's .esp that relies on your own .bsa's. Its ridiculous that some people around here cry "omg, illegal" everytime someone talks about using their purchased DLC files in New Vegas.

bben46
If you are doing it on your own computer for your own use and NOT posting it anywhere on the internet, selling it or giving it away - It is legal. When you start posting it, selling it or giving it away you run into the rules Bethsoft has put out on acceptable modding of their games. That being you cannot use anything from one game in another. such as parts of FO3 in New Vegas. However, about 85 to 90% of the assets from FO3, including quite a bit from the DLCs, are already available in New Vegas, even if they are not being used in the game - they are legal for use in New Vegas Mods that are posted. I don't know how many times I have posted this: http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-violent083.gif The reason you cannot legally use stuff from one game in another in mods is that BethSoft does not own the rights to every asset in the games. Much of the content is from independent 3rd party programmers - the contract that Bethsoft has with them only allows use of their assets in ONE particular game. So if they allow people to use those assets to make mods in a different game, BethSoft could be sued for allowing you to violate the 3rd parties copyrights. And you could be sued as well. If you want to debate how this is not fair, please get in touch with BethSoft's lawyers. As we didn't make this rule and cannot change it.
