Gaikotsu Akunin
I've had many problems in the past with PayPal (them ripping me off and so forth). I said screw it, and decided to make another account. Their customer service sucks considering its been 10 days already and my account hasn't been verified yet; Even though it says it will take from 1 to 3 days. Is there an alternative way to become a premium member here without the bother of PayFail?
micalov
You can pay directly with debit/CC card, at least in the UK not sure about other locations.

Daynox
I also absolutely refuse to use PayFail like you. My alternative was to head into RBC (bank) and aquire a prepay credit card (pay as you go) i put $500 on it and have enjoyed buying all kinds of things online from Steam, ThinkGeek and other sites...as for using it to purchase the Premium Membership with a Prepay Credit Card?...not sure cause i would also like to! Some sites are really PrePay credit card haters and will work.. Daynox Edited January 13, 2011 by Daynox
Fatalmasterpiece
Considering the security issues the Nexus is known to have I would feel very unconfortable sharing CC details on it... As someone who also boycotts Paypal an alternative would be really welcome.
Thandal
Regardless of the method of payment, Nexus isn't storing your transaction information. Processing is handled through a financial payments provider.
CloneIX
Can´t you add Click&Buy?I really do not like PayPal.
evilneko
You don't even need a paypal account to pay though. It makes it slightly more convenient, but not strictly necessary.
Daynox
Thats the thing with these pre-paid credit cards...you can put as much as you want on them.....you can walk into the bank and tell them to give you a card with $30 on it if you wanted to .... so you dont need to worry about interweb info thieves  see what you want online (nexus premium membership  ) and put that amount on the card + what ever the activation fee is....like 5 bucks or whatever....and POOF! PREMIUM MEMBER :woot: Daynox
RedVexHK
Just to add my two Credit cards worth... you can now go to Superstores, Sobeys, (Canada) and WaMart (just about anywhere) and buy Visa or Mastercard gift cards pre loaded cards with $25,$50,$75,$100 and $200 amounts . they are preloaded so not reusable.. just buy, use until empty and then toss.. no personal data is stored on them.. nothing a webthief can take... and once the card is used up.. not even a card left... you can also get reusable pre paid cards... load any amount on them... as needed.. For Canadians.. Paybycash services has Hyperwallet. a B.C based service that is compatable with send/receive via Paypal if needed.. but does not use or rely on Paypal. I'm also in agreement that Paypal is a steer clear service.. my roomie and I had a very nasty experience with them.. triple billed her for a purchase and took 3 months to fix.. . they did nothing... we had to wait for all 3 payments to clear then get the person at the other end to return 2 payments.. never used Paypal again. Customer service actually refused to stop payment on the other 2 payments. even though they admitted it was a billing error and that they were fully aware it was an error. nice huh?? Never use again.. Hyperwallet however has no monthly fees.. like Paypal does... a basic transaction fee and if required a currency exchange fee.. Customer service is prompt and helpful and really pleasant.. the one time I actually LOST a transaction.... customer service had me on hold less than 60 seconds and never left the line till we tracked my mistake and recovered the funds . BIG plus too using it... you can internet bank and add money directly to your Hyperwallet account. do phone banking the same way.. or ATM .. anywhere.. very convenient... it puts the service in bill payable in your banking service. and is easily accessed. Well this is my input on this.. hope it helps some for SOME of you wonderful Nexus people.I know it won't help everyone... but I did my best.
