infernohero
Has there been a mod made to where you could give an npc armor or something, and then make them equip it?
Brendon123123
This is actually quite easy. Simply open up the NPC you want to wear the armor/gear in TES Construction Set, go to "Inventory", and drag whatever items you want them to have into the Inventory box. If you get rid of whatever armor/weapons they already have, and add yours, they will automatically equip/use it in-game.

David Brasher
Have you tried CM Partners? That lets you change what gear your companions use.
LFact
Active Inventory Spell. However, NPCs won't equip equipment if it is cheaper than he/she has.
Kyuukei
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26421 This is a fairly concise solution. So far I've only really used it with the Dremora Companion mod, but it seems to work flawlessly. You can actually use it with any NPC whenever you want, which is pretty damn cool. It also works with things like cape mods as well. Edited January 17, 2011 by Kyuukei
