Romance Option for Skyrim

  1. 1. Would you be interested in romance quests for skyrim, assuming they aren't already too far along for one?

    • Yes if it's done properly with options for both gender
    • No, it isn't necessary, and they'd just fudge it up anywa
    • I don't care either way
    • Something else (stated in comments)

I would like it, but only if it's done right. This means an option for both genders (gay or bi optional), and the potential partners have to be equally appealing. I've played crpg's whhere the guys got a hot chick to get together with, but the girls got someone who looked old enough to be their dad or was otherwise not equal to the male option. I'd also like to see an interesting, fully developed character, with fun quests involved. Mind, I know the TES series isn't a dating sim, but there's no need to go about it half-assed the way they have in the past.

Sure, why not.

I would however mostly like use the system to charm people in order to gain advantages or access to things. Imagine being able to charm royalties to gain access to castles and protection. Or maybe charm random people around the province to use their homes as safe-houses. Gaining peoples trust and maybe even love by maybe doing a few quests or spoiling them with gifts or dinners for a period of time would be awesome. The more and longer you work on someone, the more they'll like you and share things with you. If you stop visiting and talking to them, they could get heartbroken or angry and might start looking for you or stalking you, or even attack any other NPC's you might hang out with out of pure jealousy  That would be so awesome!

In any way, I certainly hope they make it much more of a challange and profitable than the worthless persuation-game of Oblivion.

I say no to Bethesda implementing it due to such a thing being a waste of valuable time and money that could be used for other portions of the game. But if modders want to add it once the game is released, go for it! Edited by DeathWarrior

I say no. Coming off of Fable it's safe for me to say that having a family loses its novelty after a while. I lied, it loses its novelty fairly quickly. In a game so heavily reliant on the PC running around completing quests, stopping back to make sure your family doesn't hate you would be a massive nuisance. Perhaps some would enjoy it. More power to them. I just don't think it fits in well with the whole adventuring aspect I've come to like in the TES series. The only way I'd even use it were it to be included would be if I didn't have to constantly run home and babysit. I wouldn't mind having a family, but at the same time I want to play the game how I want with a minimum of pointless obligations.
