Septim741
Id like to see this guy get a job, and taste some real life. Or put a couple of knives on him, some armor, and a cape, and see if he can still stand up.

VaanicOne
Make sure you're sitting down when you read this... ...I agree with Peregrine. No, no, sitting down didn't help. I am still going to make my way to exeter and destroy you for doing that. :D

ResidentWeevil2077
Make sure you're sitting down when you read this... ...I agree with Peregrine. The whole point of an MMORPG is for it to be played online (hence why there's "Online" in the name...). Rob, your argument is valid for a game like Battlefield 2 where you can only play online while it could quite plausably be a single-player game as well, but not for MMORPGs, since the online part is the very essence of the game. From the way you type it sounds as though you haven't taken part in any of the major MMORPGs, am I correct? Many of them come with multiple different payment methods (including game cards you buy in stores without the need for a debit or credit card). As Peregrine quite rightly insinuates, if you cannot afford the necessary monthly subscription then you just shouldn't play -- but you don't whine about said game because it costs money each month -- once again, it's the very essence of a developing MMORPG.No, I've never played an MMORPG before, and don't intend to (at least not yet). I don't have anything against the concept, and in fact, the very reason I don't play MMORPGs is the fact that I have no means to play them anyway. I don't have a credit card (I suppose I could use my debit card, but I'm not sure about that  ), and I'm still on DIAL-UP  for Christ's sake. As for the debit card thing, I've had mine since I was just a wee lad. And the reason I said "deduct from" is because when it comes the issue of credit standings, a debit card can't give you good credit. It can't give you credit at all because it's your money. Anway, this is all way, WAY off topic. I starting to think I've got a knack for taking a topic off its course o_O . I guess my view on this is construed, and my argument was dead in the water right the start. Just goes to show you what an asshat I am  . Mercbird
Everyone is entitled to an opinion and certainly has the right to voice it, as do anyone interested enough to respond. On topic; games can be addictive, but so can just about anything else. You want to kill yourself over a game, go ahead. I'll fetch the Darwin award, you are not needed in the gene pool. As for the idiot in question he got caught, and slapped on the wrist. Then he took idiocy to a whole new level. I'd up his ban to permanent too, who needs a suicidal gamer on his hands. Bad for PR.

One may think he's not addicted to anything, but alas, due to his oblivious nature, he is.
JadedRyu
Well, that's just sad.I am on the computer everyday, and sometimes night. But I still find a way to go out, have fun, eat, drink, sleep, exerise etc (I am on everyday because we live so far away from ym friends and places to go so yeah). And I have no idea how anyone can play the game 24/7, seriously, I wouldn't able to play a whole 24 hours without getting bored or wanting to do something else let alone every day for alot of hours

Dullahan
That is truly pathetic. It's sad how obsessive people can be regarding technology. I had just bought Guild Wars, enjoyed the hell outta it, then the next day, my internet was cut.. i didn't kill myself over it.. he really should get a bleedin life..
