iammrjam Posted May 31, 2015 Share Posted May 31, 2015 got steam fallout 3 goty edition and wanted to start modding so downloaded falloutmodmanager and the game was running but kept crashing.Then installed the Fallout Wanders Edition Mod which when loaded up in Fallout said that FOSE was not installed.Went back and installed FOSE into the Fallout 3 folder and renamed the fose_launcher and the FalloutLauncher which supposedly should make Fallout run through the FOSE,running as an administrator and it just comes up saying an instance of Fallout3 is already running.Tried closing everything through task manager, restarted computer and restarted steam, still saying that its already running,anyone know how to fix it? M48A5 Posted June 21, 2015 Share Posted June 21, 2015 Don't run Steam, it is not necessary. Do not rename the fose_launcher or the FalloutLauncher, it is not necessary. What is necessary is to move your Steam folder outside of Program FIles so that fose can make the necessary changes to the Fallout3.exe.
