Creatures emitting strange buzzing noise when they die

I can't really describe it, so here's a video of the problem.

I suspect it might be caused by a mod or something else going on with my game, cause I dug through the Sounds folder in Morrowind's files and didn't notice the noise in anything.

 

Anyone ever encountered anything like this before? Any solutions?

Weird. Can you post your mod list?

 

Are you using ostar's Less Generic Tribunal? That had some sound problems, IIRC. A patched version was uploaded on 4shared.

edit: I updated my sound card drivers, restarted my computer and installed that patch, and it seems the problem is fixed now. I guess one (or all) of those is the solution. Thanks, Dragon32. :)

From the stuff over on Bethsoft it was probably the Less Generic. Regardless, glad it's fixed.

 

Noticed some other things:

 

I think you should be using the NoM version of Darknut's GDR

 

Where's you get Morrowind Acoustic Overhaul from? The version I have has MAO_Base.esm not MAO.esm, I'd like to update the mlox rules.

 

You've some old Real Wildlife plugins (Real_Wildlife_Bloodmoon.esp, Real_wildlife_Tribunal_addon_v2a.esp)

 

I'd suggest running the latest version of mlox, it'd point out those and maybe a few others. There should be a new version of the rule-set in a week or two so it'd be nice to get that MAO master file in there.
