Deleted21304489User
I need to know if it's even possible to run a moded FO3 game with this graphics card. I can't seem to run the game for longer than 10-15 minutes without it crashing. Using NMC lite version, Multicore fix (4 gig enabled), no other textures, and only using Fellout, plus type 3 body. Using FOSE, FO3Edit, LOOT, BOSS, FSR, Unofficial Patch. Also, using NVAC. It works with FO3. I even toned down some of the settings, like antialising, and anioscopic whatever they are called...and nada. I can set my watch by the crash occurance. Are there any settings I can make to the graphics card itself? This is stupid...this graphics card came out November of 2010, so it should be able to run a somewhat stable modded game. Obviously more vram would be better, but some of these mods are older than my graphics card, so this isn't computing for me. I don't get it. Starting to wonder if I could even run the game with nothing but CASM added. :(
M48A5
Your GTX-570 is more powerful than my GTS-450 1GB and I can run the game with about 100 mods, NMC Performance Pack, LAA, Juicy Sweet FX, FSR, NVAC, and various Hi-Res weapons and armor and BOG Hi Rez body. With crashing like that, it probably isn't the graphics card but something else going on.
Deleted21304489User
It doesn't matter if I have 150 or 85 mods installed...high level textures, or no textures. This installed...that installed. Crashes at the same time every single time. I've clocked it. Right down to the second. It can't be vram. I'd try it out vanilla, but I don't want to go through the whole vault scene to get to the outside, just to verify what I already know. Which reminds me...I made a moded vault start and crashed during the GOAT exam. Now explain to me how I can have a crash in the GOAT exam. haha! This is so lame...I don't have any problems at all running any up to date games. Not a single one...but throw this Bethesda game on and CRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pfft...garbage. Glad I spent all this time learning how to mod my game. What a waste of my time. Hmmm...I just had a thought. The only thing I haven't tried, is uninstalling the Unofficial Patch. Wow, what if that was it? Edited June 3, 2015 by ejroberts49
Deleted21304489User
Uhm...I think I may have figured out my problem, but am not 100% sure yet. I think it has to do with the way I installed FWE with NMM. Benwah says you have to take the 3 FWE files and achieve them all together if installing with NMM. I never did that. I just installed part 1, part 2 and the hotfix. I merged them all together in one file and installed it. Worked fine...the indication that something is different now, is right after I install MMM...it doesn't ask me to overwrite anything now. Where as before, it did. Interesting. This could have been the issue all along for me. I'll let you know once I've got the game set up. Wow! I hope this is the issue, and I fixed it. I hope I hope Edited June 3, 2015 by ejroberts49
Arkngt
I always install FWE like you, i.e. 1, 2, hotfix, with NMM and it has always worked fine. So that shouldn't be it. What do you mean with the game crashing at exactly the same time BTW? That sounds weird and suspicious. Edited June 3, 2015 by Arkngt
Deleted21304489User
It crashes within 10 minutes of game play. Consistantly. No matter what. Inside, outside...The last time I made an attempt I was like, "Well it's about time for a crash." CRASH!!! :) I think it's the Unofficial patch. Removed it and have been installing mods slowly...so far so good....no more crashing. I'll keep you all updated, but I got a funny feeling the patch is the issue. It's not my gosh darned graphics card! :P
Deleted21304489User
Uhm...apparantly when you have 17 divers that are extremely out of date (2006-2010) you'll get crashing with this game. Updated them all and the crashing stopped. Heh..
