21603
From what I can gather Oblivion's game world is limitless. When you go to the outer edges with the CS and rejoin the seems I assume this could go on forever? if not correct me. If it could go on forever (rougly) then the whole of Tamriel could be created. That's mind blowing.
Tiberiu911
Everything has a limit, even Cyrodiil. Once you disable borders, you can keep on walking for a very long time. The textures get mushy, and there is a limit, where the land ends.

Hasn't anyone tried this?
Guest Tessera
It is certainly possible to do so, yes... however, it would also mean that a lot more data had to be loaded up into memory. I guess it all depends on how much detail was added and what your video settings were, but I can imagine a situation where there were so many new objects in the distance that most video cards would trip out from overload. :D This leads me to speculate, however... How about some sort of "portals" at the boundaries of the visible map that could "warp" you into an entirely new set of outdoor regions..? Those regions could then be filled with their own towns, dungeons and so forth... effectively doubling or tripling the total size of Oblivion's gameworld, but without trying to load it all up at once. I guess I'm talking about "zoning," the same thing that happens when you enter a building (or an Oblivion gate)... but in this case, you'd be zoning into an entirely new world map. Maybe we could zone into Morrowind... hmmm. :PI can even envision a set of pre-requisites, such as having to first do all of the Daedric quests... after which you are sent on a journey to discover the secrets of the "World Gates," or whatever. 21603
Are they original Morrowind meshes?
Abramul
Are they original Morrowind meshes? Not sure exactly what you're asking... Morrowind province, since it is being done for TES3, will use Morrowind's meshes, meshes that have been modified from Morrowind's or use Morrowind textures, and custom meshes. For the Oblivion areas, meshes will be Oblivion's, modified Oblivion meshes, and custom meshes. I'm pretty sure that it's not permitted to use Morrowind resources, or modified Morrowind resources, as anything other than templates for entirely new meshes (see Silgrad Tower).
