What are you guys talking about? Fallout 4 looks good. The best looking game? Nope. But that a good thing. That means people with mid-range PC, xbone and ps4 can play it without problem.

 

Also it will have mods, that means it will looks good later on. Enbs will come a week or so later, at least sweetfx. Then it will be the best looking game if you wish it to be that.

 

I really can't wait until the new geck comes out, I really wanna mod it!

Emm that is some f***ed up logic boombro.. They should make the ultra quality a lot better. If you have a slow pc you can always reduce the quality to medium or low... If this is going to be a full price game it's only reasonable to expect some up-to-date graphics, the graphics from that trailer would have been acceptable in 2007 but not in 2015... I mean it hardly looks better than a game like unreal tournament 3... which was made in 2005-6 and released in 2007...

What about dishonored? That game look dump. But many loved the game.

 

Do you know what you will be paying for? That dense city, that beach, that airship, that closed city, that green like swamp, that run down hood. All that gives you about 200 hours of gameplay unmodd.

 

The game was made since about late 2011 on older engine that can be modded. Of course it not up to date, real like as the witcher and GTA. But this gen consoles will have better performance and hopefully better loading screen time. The price is dawn graded graphics for PC owners, people who can mod it to stay up to date even after 10 years.

 

Also the game pre order is about less than 46 bucks. That means it will be cheaper than many 2015 titles when it fully out. Also this is not ultra, this 30 fps console level. We have yet to see it on ultra.

Dishonored was a 2012 game and looked a lot better than Skyrim. It also wasn't an open-world game and was a lot more focused on the game play quality, whereas open-world games are more about roleplaying,character development etc, which requires good graphics to feel immersed.

 

And no, just because there might be a mod tool available at some point (there isn't one announced right now), that doesn't excuse the poor quality of the graphics. If they add in loading screens to fallout 4 it's going to be ridiculous. Witcher 3 and GTA have no loading screens, open-world gaming has advanced beyond the level of tons of loading screens.

I have went to some threads and this the case.

Fallout and TW3 are the same type of games so comparing them is fair by many. TW3 and fo4 are not really not the same games.

@notmyhome Not really, every single open world game that was released in the last 2 years looks better. Farcry, GTA, Witcher, just cause, the forest etc etc. It's just ridiculous that a game company that made millions off of Skyrim wouldn't be able to produce a high standard game next.. If everything looks like it does in the trailer (not likely since it's a release trailer, actual quality will be a lot worse I guarantee it) it's hardly any better than gta iv (2008) for pete's sake...

I know your point, but there is really no point in having a really good looking game when it will also be in xbone and ps4. PC owners, who are able to get ultra set ups can mod the game to look updated for free. The devs then can make the game better in other departments. Wanting the game to look like an AAA then buy it while you can get those stuff for free is bad choice.

 

Farcry 4, gta and TW3 are games many are unable to run on ultra anyways. Even mid setting are kind of high. They also run badly on ps4 and xbone. Console players will play a lot of this game, they should get a smooth gaming experience if PC players can Improve the game for years to come.

 

Fallout games focus on atmosphere, theme and landscaping. Not 4k textures and effects. If you wish for a good looking game, you should not wait for fallout 4 at all or wait a year for mods of such nature to come out.
