ThetaOrionis01
I hadn't heard anything about problems with AMD processors - I've got an AMD Athlon 600MHz, and the game runs ok...if a bit slow. I get the occasional crash to desktop, but no repeat crashes. At what point exactly does your game crash? When it is trying to load a different cell, when a soundfile starts playing, when you try to pick something up? Perhaps the precise point of the crash might be a clue. Your Geforce 2 is your video card. According to the box the Geforce2 is a supported chipset - I don't know enough about video cards to tell if your particular model is an exception. Since your game is running ok on another computer I would guess that the problem is with your video card or maybe the soundcard...but as I said before, I'm no computer expert. Have you installed the latest driver for your video & sound cards? Maybe that will help...

Nevex
Not sure if this helps at all but Morrowind crashes for me a bit as well. As said before you have to save often, its your best bet for "staying alive". I personally have a Geforce 3 for a graphic card and I can run the game full resolution without error and yet at times the game will still crash and I can tell you for certain its not my processor speed. I guess it is just part of Morrowind we will have to live with. Also on my friend's computer the game crashes often as well though more often then on mine though it is possible that it may be from his lower end computer. Guest
Well, not sure if this is relevent to anyone here, but my solution to my crashes (every 10mins at some points) was the following..I installed a memory optimiser, the one i'm currently using is FreeRAM XP Pro 1.30,since I have been using it to automatically free up ram as I play, I have only crashed perhaps 4 times in several weeks of play.I have both expansions and my setup is an AMD XP2600 (333) 512DDR ram, GeForceTi 500, Soundblaster Live 5.1, AT-MAX2 mb, latest drivers/firmware/patches for all. Does MW have some kind of memory leakage or is it just my stupid soundcard, I think Soundcard is next thing to upgrade because almost all of the major games I play/ed have had probs with it. Some examples where the games were flawless with the card removed are NWN, EQ, Ultima9. Seeyah
SothThe69th
After using the tweak guide I mentioned, I have had ZERO problems with MW. No crashes in months. I wouldn't necessarily say my computer is a powerhouse, but its not weakass either- 1.2ghZ processor512MB RAMStock sound card.GeForce4 MX 440 (DAMN YOU AND YOUR LACK OF PIXEL SHADING!)Windows XP Home. Mind you, I also keep my computer extremely up to date, I'm almost an update junkie XD
